Knowledgeable and Professional.. I recently was in search of a new Vet for my 4 Dogs. I knew Winston my Schnauzer was in need of a dental cleaning. I called to schedule an appointment and the front desk staff was amazing. They made scheduling an appointment very easy. I was scheduled with Dr. Smith a few says later. Dr. Smith was great with Winston. He educated me on Winston's teeth and why it was important to take care of them. He made me feel very comfortable. Winston went in for his cleaning and was home the same day. The Techs were also great in going over all the instructions for his at home care. He was in no pain and back to him self the next day with few limitations. They treated Winston like one of there own! I will be recommending them to everyone I know!

This place is hell! Do NOT take your beloved pets here. My first problem with this place was last year with my kitten Enzo. We took him here to make sure everything was fine due to him eating less and their first/ONLY suggestion was to put him to sleep. No tests were done just was told it most likely might be a genetic problem and he might be in pain. I was not there for that appointment my husband was but they convinced my husband the best thing is to put him to sleep. My second problem with this kitty killing place is recent. We took our kitten Picachu in to get checked up and fix her butt problem. We were told 75% of kittens had her problem and its a no big deal procedure we would have her back within a few hours. ( they didn't keep her over night) The next morning we wake up to find she cannot move an inch of her body! She was paralyzed! She was an extremely active kitty before getting the surgery. We take took her back to see whats going on and they admit to most likely giving her too much gas during the surgery. The one nurse also said her butt problem fell back to normal before surgery but they went ahead and did it anyway just to make sure. They then tell us it does't look good and to put her to sleep. No big deal right? She started turning purple due to her brain swelling up and lack of oxygen so we were forced to let them put her to sleep. I am extremely upset! These animals are family! Its a vets job to fix the problem and find solutions. Not to only have the option of putting pets to sleep, which is the only thing this place is good at. We have two more healthy cats which we will be keeping away from this place.

I recently had my 2 dogs in for check ups and booster shots and had no issues. The staff was extremely friendly both on the phone and in person, and Dr Smith answered all my questions and explained a couple of issues that my dogs had. Since my dogs are rescues, they found some odd parasite that needed some extra attention too, but they made sure I had the right meds and I was able to call for follow up questions and appointments with no issues. I kinda wish the waiting room was a little larger since my dogs want to meet every animal they come in contact with, but that's hardly a problem.

My cat hurt his paw, called Gilbertsville Veterinary Hospital who we have been going to for 20 years, asked them if they could bill us as I get paid next week, Nope sorry no cash cat has to suffer till you get some. What a compassionate group of people. I will be looking for a new Vet!

They did a good job of always diagnosing our dog and prescribing him something to make him better. Staff was always nice as well. However, the reason for the very low review was our dog had major surgery and they did not keep staff on through the night to monitor him, which was not communicated to us. Post surgery, we were told he was fine. Then I called them in the morning to check-in only to hear "he passed sometime in the middle of the night" and that nobody was monitoring him through the night. On top of this, they would not accommodate me seeing him one last time. I had work and couldn't make it there until 12:15 Saturday afternoon. I was told that they would be closed by 12:00, but they could freeze the body and I could see him on Monday. I was frustrated that they would not accommodate my needs and stay open 15 minutes for me to say my goodbyes - especially after we paid between 1-2k for the operation and that there was nobody monitoring him. This whole experience was unacceptable in my opinion.
