TERRIBLE, if you really LOVE your pet take them else where, i took my 6 year old saint bernard there to get her checked out, bc she had something above her eye.. that was concerned about, well long story short they told my husband it was CANCEROUS, OK so anybody in there right mind would say take it off, so they did the surgery and came back as a IN GROWN HAIR!!!! no such thing as cancer what so ever, so i called and i was so upset, called and talk to the NEW owner mike,HA what a complete JOKE he is he didn't even want to hear anything about it, i mean i have been going to this vet for 6 years, and he didn't even give me 2 secs for anything. needless to say my WHOLE family that is 6 people that took their animals there pulled all the records and went else where! Mike, was completely unprofessional, and Shouldn't be running a vet office what so ever. no compassion what so ever.. GOOD LUCK to FUTURE customers!! OH and i found the best vet office in danville, and we all have been there ever since!!! HORRRRRRRRRIBLE VET!!!!!!!!!! sincerely Kaylla
It is a safe animal hospital to take your pets. You will find caring staff and vets who are willing to go beyond what they are required to do to help with the medical needs of your pets. I have found them extremely supportive.
We have been going there for over 9 years. We always see Dr. Hopkinson with our German Shepherds, labs, border collie mix and cat. She has been great through everything...lymphoma, mast cell tumors, kidney failure, skin problems, arthritis, dysplasia, illnesses with unknown origins and routine office visits. The staff there are great too. Yes, there are occassions when we have to wait longer than others, but I look at it like this...She takes the time to do a thorough exam, answers all questions and makes sure each animal is given the best care...This means sometimes there will be extra time spent with an animal...just like in a regular doctors office. Wouldn't you want the extra time taken with you and your pet if needed?
Highly recommended, especially Dr. Mildrew. The office is often very busy, and sometimes you do have to wait, but Dr. Mildrew and all the vets and staff have been wonderful with my cats. I have one very sweet and gentle cat and one who yells, spits, and fights at the vet; everyone at Animal Care Hospital treats both cats (and me!) with enormous care, professionalism, and respect.
Do not recommend them. Dr. Hopkinson was rude, unfreindly, and very insensitive on a few occasions. We now take our animals to a more professional and caring vet in lewisburg. Most recently my wife had to take one of our animals there to be put to sleep. Instead of taking her into a private room or patient room they let her stand at the counter with our small chidren all crying in front of everyone. Take your animals to someone that cares and appreciates your business.
