I took my baby Bella Blu there for a second opinion because her liver levels were elevated and she needed to be spayed. I saw Dr. Woods after 6 days without a phone call back. I called, the first day they blew me off, the second day they finally after me pressing the issue a lovely Dr. B explained her results. Dr Woods finally called me a week later, probably after getting in trouble by Dr. B to ask me what she could do to make it better. There is nothing she could do to rectify the situation. The unfortunate thing is we have a 11 month old pug & a 8 moth old teddy bear dog, which meant we were looking for a Vet for the long haul. We also realized that there prices were between 30- 40% higher than Vets in the area. If you feel a need to take your precious pup there RUN if they try to give you an appt. with Dr. Woods, you will get more compassion from the Jiffy Lube People changing your oil. BTW there office is state of the Art, I guess the patients are paying for that through the nose.

Markup over Pet Health....Its a business, I understand that. But it should also have a degree of pet compassion that i dont know if it is present or not in the right proportion. Yes, they are pricey. However, i must say that Dr Grahm is fantastic, his care is second to none and i trust and respect his opinion and care. I had an issue where i thought it was the end of the line for my old pet, and i was compassionately handled and my pet was diagnosed and treated promptly and professionally, and she recovered!!! So it is undisputeable that they do a good job. However, if you dont want to pay 3x the price of prescription that you can purchase online at a fraction of the cost, you need to pull teeth to get a script out of them. I ordered online on a friday, the online Pharm contacted them almost immediately and were told the vet doesnt deal with online Pharms.....??? NVH could had called me, but they didnt, so i called MondayAM to see what the problem was. I was told they dont deal with online Pharms, so i asked for the script via email. I was told it would be sent. Tues eve i called, now somewhat angry that i and my pet had been ignored for 5 days. I was told that they again dont deal with online pharms and that they can not email a script. All this even though you can click on thier own online Pharm from thier own website and buy the script at a fraction of the cost of what i had to pay to pick up pills in person. Yes, I agree, it doesnt make sense. They did allow me to come in and retrieve a script for the dog but i was left with the impression that the 50.00 profit was more important than the care of my animal. And although the staff is professional, in my humble opinion, there is a person who has never given me a warm fuzzy and i dread having to deal with that one staff member. Furthermore, if i didnt know the script could be had for 1/3 of the cost, i guess i would still be a customer, but this and other issues, many regarding price, have me looking for a new vet. Too bad, Dr. Grahm really is the best i've seen.

If you care at all about your pet, take them anywhere but here. Every experience I have had with these people has been awful. The vets here will look at your pet for maybe 10 minutes, if you're lucky, then order a few tests and prescribe some medicine, which they will be more than happy to mark-up by well over 200% (over 400% in some cases). They will also promise to call you with the test results, which they never do; plan on having to call several times. If they do prescribe medication, do yourself a favor, and ask for the written prescription and then (if time is not of the essence) order it online or from a reputable vet. For instance... NVH price for a bag of hydration solution is over $12 -- you can buy the same product online for less than $4; NVH price for an 18 gauge hypodermic needle is over $1.00 -- available online for 20 cents! I am fine with paying a premium for quality medical care (which they most certainly do not provide), however, marking up their medication and equipment in this manner is absolutely criminal. Your pet(s) will live longer if you avoid this establishment; their care is sub-pay and their prices are out of line.
