LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! The staff are SO friendly and extremely knowledgable. Dr. Balzer and Dr. Weiner are both excellent veterinarians. This place charges you a mere fraction of the value of quality care you will receive. And they treat bunnies :) They even have walk-in hours and their spay and neuter procedures are done all in one day! I would recommend this hospital to EVERYONE. You are missing out if you don't give these guys a try.

I take my cat here for veterinary care, even though it's across town from me. The care is good, the prices are reasonable, and if you call ahead it's not too hard to get an appointment. Generally easy street parking, too. Recommended.

Girard really cares and I love that. It's not a fancy place but neither are their prices. They just focus on giving good care at a reasonable price. I started taking our cats here more than a decade ago. When we had more money we tried other "fancy" vets and you know what we found? The main difference is the waiting room and the amount of tests & procedures they suggest - which equal how much $$$ comes out of your pocket for it. I don't need fancy. I need good. And in the end, I feel Girard gave us better care without unnecessary and expensive procedures. And they are responsive, open and just good people. I'm quite happy and our cats are too. (FYI, we've had more than your routine care over the years - one leg amputation, one cat with asthma, one cat with urinary problems. All under control now with Girard.)

The doctors all seem to care about your pets. It's easy to get appointments and they have morning walk ins. They solved long time allergy problems with my dog.

...If only people could access top-notch medical care at affordable prices. At least Girard Veterinary Clinic offers it to our pets. The docs genuinely care about your pet and patiently work with you to select treatment options that are both effective and affordable and to make sure all your questions are answered. I've lived in Philly for 15 years and Girard Vet Clinic is one of the best things the city has to offer.
