Over my 25+ pet-owning years, I have visited veterinary facilities in a multitude of states. I worked at one for over a decade. Barton Heights is by far the best facility I have experienced. I have high expectations: friendly, competent doctors and staff who care about my pets, the ability to reasonably book appointments, medical equipment that is not archaic, fair prices. Most importantly, I want doctors who will communicate with me about my pets’ needs and issues. I have found that with Barton Heights Animal Hospital. They are everything that I want and more! I have never walked out feeling that I did not get my time and money's worth: the care and experience that my pets get is worth every dime. Having a veterinarian sit down next to me, or take the time to call back, is one of the ways that Barton Heights excels. Whether dealing with one of my dogs who has health issues, or a cat coming in for a yearly appointment, I know that I am doing the best I can to keep my pets healthy. I appreciate the teamwork. From the ladies at the front desk, to the techs and everyone behind the scenes, and on through the doctors, you are the best.

Today I had to let my Rottie, Penny Lane go. I was super amazed by the staff. From the first phone call to her final sleep we were treated wonderfully. They were so compassionate. The office was clean. They made a very sad situation tolerable. Penny Lane and I are grateful to the staff. I intend to bring my other dog there for regular care. You guys were the best. Thank you

I am so glad my friend recommended Barton Heights to me! The reception team is very friendly and the care my puppy received is excellent! The convenience of everything under one roof is perfect for my busy life!!

We brought our dog Cookie to your emergency room 2 nights ago. She was diagnosed with a tumor on her spleen which was bleeding and needed to be removed. We were told that the prognosis of her surviving was uncertain but without surgery she would certainly die. . Considering the circumstances we thought we did the best we could by bringing her to her hospital. My wife Ingrid after a sleepless night attending to suffering Cookie even drove to a different hospital to get the blood for the surgery. All went well according to the vet who operated on Cookie. The tumor was large but there were not any signs of it being spread in other organs. We were looking forward to bringing cookie home as soon as she was discharged. We were ecstatic when we were called that Cookie was ready to go home. What a shock when my wife came and found Cookie unattended lying in her own urine cold and pail crying from pain. I was on the phone listening to her desperate cries and my heart was breaking. When Ingrid asked the technician what was happening she was told that Cookie was hallucinating from pain medication she was given. Ingrid insisted on technician calling the doctor. Cookie was already near death and passed away after she was resuscitated a few times. We tried to do best we could for our pet. Finding her in a cage in the condition she was in after a phone call that she was ready to go home seems like a cruel joke at best. We will never know if your hospital did the best it could for our Cookie. Finding her in in near death stage alone in a cold cage will leave us in doubt forever that we made the right choice to bring here there. There is a deep sadness a big hole in our Hearts...

Extremely prompt from time of visit. Dr. Burch and his assistant were more than helpful in caring for Honey. Dr. Burch gave all the info needed for us to make a decision about removing a fatty tumor from Honey's leg. This vet service I have used for all my dogs since Trixie (female beagle), Maun (white German Shephard mix), Ben (male beagle), Willie (male red tic coon hound), Honey (golden retriever Shephard mix), Rosie (female Jack Russ/Poodle mix) since the early 1970's. Needless to say when Dr. Ott Sr. started the business I was there. I knew Dr. Ott from the time he was with Dr. Gorse and continued to stay with him. Today's doctors should learn something from him and his entire staff, nothing but professional from front door to back. Love all of you. Valerie & John Akers and Honey and Rosie Akers (my best four footed friends) Woof....Woof...
