My dog had a great place to stay when we lived in Phoenix. He went there weekly for daycare, monthly for grooming and stayed there when I was out of town. He demanded to go there because he loved it so much. Richter Animal Hospital portrays that it will be of a similar caliber. However, what I saw on the webcam definitely showed that was incorrect. When dropping Cooper off I signed him up for daycare. I marked Fri & Mon and the lady checking me in reminded me that Monday would not be a typical daycare day since it was a holiday. On Friday, prior to & after our flight I checked on Cooper several times and never once caught him outside of his room. His usually perky ears were practically touching each other on the back of his head. He looked stressed. He is not used to being stuck in such a small area for so long - hence why I wanted daycare. Cooper was still in his room around 1pm so I called to find out why - only to be told he has been in daycare. I pointed out that this was a lie, only to be told that new fence was being installed and that I 'was told daycare wouldn't be normal'... I knew that for Monday - not Friday! I was also told they were doing what they can for 'over 100 dogs'. Later when I tried to check on Cooper again the camera wasn't working. Still didn't work through Sat AM when they decided to inform me new cameras were installed and needed different software. It seems odd that a place (which is probably at max capacity on a holiday weekend) would do so much construction during that time. Sunday night saw my dog did not get fed (the other days the bowl was at least in the room so I assume he did get fed those times - although he lost lots of hair and a few pounds so who knows). Tried to see if we could pick him up Monday but since it was a holiday we couldn't get ahold of anyone. Picked him up as soon as we could Tuesday. Needless to say, he was happy to be home! Some coworkers have since recommended themselves or Urban Paws in Dallas- which I will be checking out next week. A few questions to ask yourself before trusting this place with your pet: -how can a dog be in daycare if he wasn't once caught on camera outside of his room? I still got charged for a supposed evaluation that I doubt occurred. -how does a place that at any time has 100+ dogs staying there have so few reviews (positive or negative)...? -do you have someone that can go 'rescue' your pet while you are gone if need be? My dog is like my kid. I'm going to check in on him. Unfortunately, this place failed miserably.

Best vets and staff around. I have been using RAH for years now and I have never had one issue! I personally own 7 dogs ranging from Chihuahuas to Mastiffs so needless to say we have experienced a wide variety of incidents over the years. All of which they have handled with amazing bed side manner and the best ways possible. The one incident that sticks out the most for me though was the loss of my best friend~my 11 year old Bull Mastiff Bully Bully! He was MY first dog to ever have to let go and I knew that it would be the hardest decision I would ever make! I was a vet tech for years before so I had gone through the whole process before but on the other side! As I sat in the room with my Bully and his head in my lap the staff slowly came in one at a time with teary eyes and gave my boy kisses and reassured me that everything would be ok and that there will be no more pain. As Dr.McDaniel came in for us to say our final goodbyes she shared numerous tears with me as Bully crossed over the rainbow bridge. The way that they all handled my sweet boy made my heart smile. They helped me make ceramic paw prints and truly made the situation 100 times better then what it could have been. For this once specific incident I will always be loyal to the RAH staff. On another note Dr. Richter has done several surgeries for my kids that most vets would refer over to the Surgery centers! This I appreciate more than anything. The fact that he is capable and comfortable with performing surgeries that are considered advanced is proof that he is up to date with the current technology of veterinary medicine. He has a true understanding of how much my dogs mean to me and never makes me feel like I am doing anything excessive. He never pushes for unnecessary test and knows exactly how aggressive I want to be with treatments! I highly recommend this place to any and everyone who wants the absolute best care for their pet. I own a dog daycare and boarding facility in West Fort Worth and I tell my clients all the time that they are worth the drive. The entire staff is amazing and they really do care about your pets!

This place has changed our lives! When we got our Aussie puppy we needed to find a constructive outlet for her energy while we worked all day, so we went to Richter Animal Hospital to check out their daycare services. The daycare staff is amazing and attentive. They know every dog by name and love each baby as if it were their own! The playground equipment, pup-sicles, and swimming pools ensure exhausted dogs at the end of the day. We were so impressed with the daycare staff we decided to use their veterinary services. With three animals now, we have had the pleasure of using all three vets and have been thoroughly impressed with their knowledge and expertise. Most importantly, all three are compassionate, easily accessible and always willing to answer numerous questions. The entire staff - from the technicians to the front office - go out of their way to provide exceptional customer service. You and your pet are greeted by name with smiles on their faces and treats in hand. In regards to boarding facilities, they are top notch! This is the only place we have ever felt safe leaving our babies behind while we travel. We know they are slumbering in immaculate suites with lots of love and attention! All in all, we have had positive experience after positive experience at Richter's. We share our experiences to all that we can so that others will have the opportunity to benefit from the care these people provide! We count ourselves blessed to be included in the "Richter Family"!

Richters has ALWAYS been wonderful to us and to the animals. Their staff is amazing, they are so caring and they always go out of their way for the animals and customers. I highly recommend this vet clinic to everyone! Marnie Simmons

Dr. Randolph is extremely patient with all of my questions and takes his time to explain his answers. He is rational and realistic. He does not judge and is very compassionate. I would highly recommend his care.
