I have been going to Research Pet and Bird Hospital for close to 20 years for many different animals - from a dog, parakeet, guinea pig and my sugar gliders. Having many different types of animals over the years, there have been some loses and difficult times. The vets, staff and techs treat you and your pets like family. They are very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. Their concerns and service does not end at the "end of the office visit", they call and check on both patients (owner and pet/s). I highly recommend Research Pet and Bird Hospital to anyone looking for a wonderful clinic for their pet needs. They get 5 stars - and more!!! :-)

Our family has two older cats who have needed medical attention recently. We got to work with Dr. Brandon Mitchell and Dr. Paul Mitchell. We are very happy with the diagnosis and follow up phases of treatment. They used X-rays and sonograms for our female cat to show us her kidney stones. She was scheduled for surgery and at one point seemed excessively distressed. They worked her in to emergency surgery and she's doing great. We appreciated the detail on the diagnostic and surgical procedures. We were never talked down to. The doctors also tried non-surgical interventions for a month prior to surgery. We look forward to our pets being permanent patients at research pet and bird.

Love Research Pet & Bird. The doctors and the staff are always friendly, and they genuinely seem to like our pets and have their best interests at heart. We've had all sorts of procedures done here from checkups to tooth cleaning & extraction and I'm always pleased with the results. One of the best vets in Austin.

Research Pet and Bird Hospital is the best!!! EVERYONE, from the doctors to the staff genuinely care about your pet. We saw RP&BH for the last 5 years of our dog's life. They helped us manage his diabetes and other illnesses (big and small) which helped to prolong not only his life.....but his and our enjoyment of the time we had together. Thank you RP&BH!!!

Dr Strunk has outstanding in dealing with our neurotic bird. She helped us try several avenues to try get her to stop picking her feathers. We were unsuccessful but the care and follow up was top shelf. I would recommend her for anyone with birds.
