Truly Caring folks. I brought in a wounded cat... they were gentle and thorough, and considerate to me as well. They listened well and gave me great after care instructions. I've owned animals all of my life and never been this happy wiht a vet clinic!
AMCCC is a wonderful group of people dedicated to the care of not only your animal companion, but to you as the caregiver as well. They truly care. I have worked in the veterinary business, for both those veterinarians that care and those that didn't care. I can tell the difference and these professionals do what they do because they truly care. Trust your animal companion care to them and you won't be disappointed.
They always give pets love and personal attention during appointments or walk-ins. My dog has been treated there for her annual shots as well as seasonal allergies and walk-in nail trims for the last couple of years. When I took in a stray kitten last month, they got him in for a same day appointment for shots and exam, plus they gave me a free small bag of Science Diet kitten food.
I will not take my animals ANYWHERE else! I entrust all of my animals care to the great staff of AMC. I've been a client there for 4 years now with 2 cats and 2 dogs and although I've moved to Harker Heights I'm still making the trip to Copperas Cove. The staff is fantastic and greet me as soon as I walk in the door and I have been lucky enough to create personal friendships with quite a few of them. I've seen some new faces, some have stayed, some are no longer there. I contribute this to ensuring that they want the best fit for the office. The Doctors are very thorough, which yes... may cost, but they talk to you about everything before they start any procedure, and give you choices and possible alternatives. I highly recommend AMC to anyone in the area and will continue to take my fur babies there!
The doctor and staff here were very friendly and professional. We even received a follow-up call today asking how our cat is doing. But they weren't able to treat our cat because we didn't have the $1000 dollars they needed to run the tests to find out what is wrong with her. I gave them 5 stars because I do think they are as good as any veterinarian clinic out there today, but it saddens me to see pet health care go the way that human health care has gone. One thousand dollars for tests? Does that even make sense? The clinic gave us an application to apply for "CareCredit", which is a credit card (at very high interest rates) specifically made for veterinarian fees, and I know that there are companies out there that provide health insurance for pets for a monthly fee. But it's not lack of health insurance for pets that is the problem, in my opinion, just as the problems with human health care doesn't lie with insurance companies. The problem lies with the costs of that care. $1000 just for tests to find out what is wrong? How much more for the treatment? Our cat is 15 years old, so maybe the tests required cost more than the usual tests? I'm not sure, but I did talk to someone whose friend just had to pay $2000 to get their puppy treated (at a different clinic). Our world has gone wrong somewhere. I don't know how or exactly when this happened, but I do know the cause can be summed up in one word, and that word is "greed".
