Great Hospital!!!!!! I take my 4 dogs and cat there.....they are always treated special and given treats. The staff is very friendly and happy to answer any questions. I have been to other vets in Cove as well and had problems, this office is the way to go!! They truly LOVE your animals like they are there own:)
Don't waste your time! This vet is completely worthless. We took our cats there for nearly 2 years, one has been very sickly the entire time. First 4-5 times we took him in the Vet gave us antibiotics saying he has an upper respiratory infection. Last several times we were told it was "allergies." Like idiots we believed him. He didn't offer any allergy medicine to try, no x-ray, no offer of a steroid shot to alleviate his symptoms. Finally after 2 years of his problems being dismissed, I decided to try another vet. Crossroads in Cove was amazing. They immediately took an x-ray, found fluid build-up around the heart and a growth on his heart. We now have a referral to a specialist in Austin. I am appalled at Kevin Kruise and his inability to care for animals. I think of the money I spent on antibiotics (3-400$), and the amount I spent to have 2 x-rays done (175$) and honestly I'm not sure if Dr. Kruise was motivated by money or if he was just lazy and incompetent. Either way, if you want your animals healthy and happy, take them somewhere else.
Please do not take your animal to that clinic! I just took my 6 month old pug to get spayed and was stupid enough to ask them if it was possible that she was pregnant, even though she hasn't mated. I shopuld've googled it befgore asking stupid questions, but I did not expect them to take advantage of my stupidity. They made me sign a release, stating that they can charge me whatever they want depending on different factors. Well guess what? Of course they told me my dog was pregnant and therefore they are charging me $390. The initial estimate was $320, which is still over $200 more than any other clinic in Killeen or Copperas Cove charges. Now, I was told the surgery would be done through a tiny incision with a laser(Lap spay with a scope and a laser).. I specifically asked the vet about it a month prior! It ended up being a regular spay. My dog was returned to me in pretty bad shape, unresponsive and vomiting non stop. One of the recomendations they gave me was not to feed my dog or give her any liquids for a few days." Dogs can go 7 days without needing any water, don't worry about dehydration", that's what they told me. No words can describe how I feel right now.I will file a complaint and try to take him to court. They tried to tell me it wouldn't hold because of the concent form - nope, those people are not familiar with laws in this country. Do not even consider this hospital! There's a reason why they are never busy. With only 3 vet clinics in town, you'd think they would be!
Kevin Kruise is a mentally unstable unprofessional vet. Cases filed against him get dismissed only because 98% of the cases filed with Texas board of Veterinary Medical Examiners get dismissed.
