This was my second visit taking my cat to this vet. Today was HORRIBLE! I made an appointment a month ago to get my cats teeth cleaned. When I went in this morning to drop him off, I was informed that my appointment was the day prior. According to the appointment card I had received, I was correct and they were wrong. I ended up having to drive all the way home to get said appointment card because of their foul up. Okay sure one mistake I can handle... 2:00 rolls around and I call to check up on my cat to see how surgery went as I was informed to call around then. The lady said that the day was a little delayed because another appointment had taken longer than expected so he was in surgery then, but that I would be able to pick him up between 4 and 6. Great. So I leave my house and I'm there at 4:05. I was then informed that he won't be ready to be picked up until 5:30. A simple phone call apparently wasn't something they could do to warn me before I drove out there for the third time today. So now I will have driven out there 4 times today all due to their lack of customer service and their care in general. I will never go back to that veterinary clinic again.
Their hours of operation are very accommodating, especially on the weekends. Everyone from the front counter staff to the technicians are great. You are made to feel welcome as soon as you walk in. They are attentive and make every effort to assist you with any questions you may have. The veterinarians are awesome. Dr. Dashley and Dr. Robinson are always very knowledgeable and compassionate. They treat your pets as if they were their own. I have received nothing but the best care for my two fur babies. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking for only the best care for their pets.
Multiple times we have been greeted by rude office staff both in person and on the phone. They act like we are a burden to them. In reality, our cash payments are paying their pay checks. Show a little appreciation for that. Just recently, our male bull dog had surgery. Ten days later he came down with Kennel Cough. Dr. Dash was nice enough to wave the office visit as she was upset that our dog caught it from their kennel. Seven days later, our female bull dog got sick with Kennel Cough. I called the office asking if we could just pick up antibiotics for our female since we already knew what was wrong. They told me that I would have to bring her in on Monday. This was Saturday! It was their fault that both our dogs got sick and they showed no compassion. Not even willing to give us a 3 day supply of antibiotics until Monday. Horrible service!!!
After 10 years doing business with Eastwood Animal Clinic, this 'relationship" has come to an end. While the doctors are the best, it is sad that most interactions take place with the staff. Most are knowledgeable and do a fantastic job, other just wash their hands and fail to admit mistakes. On Wednesday, September 10, I dropped off two of my four dogs for boarding. Because I was bringing back the other two dogs, I was set to pay and finalize everything upon my return. Both dogs stayed at Eastwood Animal Hospital with their leashes, collars and one of them with a harness. Upon bringing back the other two dogs and finalizing everything, I asked if they were keeping the collars. The lady helping me, which seemed as lost as a blind crab, indicated I needed to take them with me. At that moment I informed her that both of the dogs dropped off first still had the collars on. She then indicated she would go and retrieve them. After going back and forth for several minutes, because she seemed to be more interested in tending to the English Mastiff in the waiting room, she came to the front desk and handed me a closed bag with what I assumed were all the collars. Only one leash was out of the bag, a brown and pink one that my daughter had wrapped around her waist. I failed to verify all collars were there and left the facility. On Sunday, September 14, I picked up my dogs early in the morning. I provided the same bag she had given me on Wednesday, still closed. I am not sure if the employee (the same one who diligently retrieved all collars) opened the bag or I did. The thing is that one collar was missing. They checked in the back and the collar was no where to be found. They all washed their hands, including this lady. She kept saying to other employees "Now she is saying...". Well, now I am saying that somehow you failed to do your job and account for all four collars. Somehow you are certain you placed all collars in the bag, but only three were retrieved. How is that possible? I've called two times already, today included and it seems the staff has no care for this issue. I realize there are many important things happening since before your office is open, but poor performance and poor accountability from your employees say much about the business. I need a solution and not employees who fail to address issues. For that reason only, Eastwood Hospital has lost my business after 10 years. I am sure there will be no resolution to this as it seems it is not a priority to the employees and probably Dr. Robinson will never hear from this. Please verify your security cameras and let me know at what point during my first stop did I walk out of there with a purple collar on my hands.
I have been going to this animal clinic for 11 years. Ten years ago I rescued a stray dog and it turned out it had a bad case of parvo. Thanks to the great care she got at this clinic, she is still with us today. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I wouldn't take my three 'babies' anywhere else!
