125 to spay the dog and keep her overnight-- reasonable. 36 dollars for rimadyl (pain medication) 4 tablets. you can buy it online for 45 dollars for 60 tablets. While I understand the need to make a profit in any business, I feel that charging so much for medication is just shy of gouging. I don't think it is fair to charge close to 10 dollars a tablet for medication when the office staff is unable to explain what it is, other than "its pain medication". I will keep bringing my animals to this vet office, I only wish they were a little more customer oriented. I have no doubt the DVMs are of the highest quality.
