I brought my dog in with symptoms of general malaise and eating dirt and white gums. He examined her and said dirt eating was odd, but not unheard of. Was not alarmed by her gums. He took a CBC after I prodded him. It took two days to get CBC results back, He also took an xray which was of terrible quality. My dog's PCV was dangerously low at 12% (should be over 38). Did not diagnose. When I requested another appointment, I was told more blood work would be necessary and it would be over $200. I explained I had pet insurance and they could direct bill, they flatly refused!! This was right before Christmas. I asked if I could pay it in increments, and the pet insurance company was happy to talk to them about paying them directly. I was told no--- even though we were neighbours, and it was right before Christmas. The next day, I picked up the xrays and blood tests we had paid for. I did my own research, and discovered she had Immune Mediated Haemolytic Anaemia. It is a DEADLY disease that often kills rather swiftly even with proper treatment. I called and confronted them, then they acted like IMHA was no big deal, suggested I take my dog to an internist. I then called another local vet, I told the tech her symptoms, she said bring her in now, do not worry about the money! They happily direct billed the insurance company. When I got her to this vet her PCV was at 6% she should have been in a coma. They did what they could for 18 months. Sadly, my girl did not make it. It is very possible had we started treatment sooner, she would not have died. That aside, the vet I wound up and took her too made a good deal of money off her treatment---this proves that Litsey is not only a terrible vet, but a poor businessman as well. Everyone in the office is callous, and uncaring.

I am really happy with Community Pet Outreach. They are a bit expensive and they push some procedures that seem unnecessary, but overall, the technicians and vets are personal, kind and know their job. I am comfortable taking my babies there, and that means a lot. I do not trust and give over the care of my animals' lives and health to the just anyone.

We had to put our dog to sleep because of a chronic illness. Litsey was kind, and sympathetic. They allowed us to take our time and be with him both before it was done and after it was over. Will definitely continue to go there with my other dogs.

We've gone to Dr. Litsey for several years for our animals since 2002. Two of my very old cats had to be put down since 07', but their staff was very understanding and even sent us sympathy cards which we thought was 1st class. They were very sympathetic and not coarse with us at all. We are now back up to 3 cats, and 2 kittens recently adopted from shelters. We tried another vet to save money with the first adoption, but it just wasn't the same. Our 3rd new addition(Rocco the kitten) is about ready for surgery(fixing), and we know he'll be in good hands, as were all our other cats. Some vets treat you like a number and just want your money, not to mention some may actually abuse your animal. Not at Litsey Animal Clinic, where you and your animals are treated with class and like family! We strongly suggest Dr Litsey and his staff at Litsey Animal/Vet Clinic. You won't want to take your beloved animal ANYWHERE ELSE! --Eric M.

This vet isnt the cheapest, but it is a VERY good and clean place! My dog was in a car wreck with me and I tried doing everything with in my power to save him. We couldnt figure out what was wrong with him but they kept running every test possible and would keep him over night and on iv's just to make me feel better. I went to several vets because I could no longer afford this one after taking him there every day for a week. Well I ended up having to put him down due to internal injuries. They let me sit with him for as long as I wanted and they were very good and kind to him. Afterwards they let me sit with him and cut a piece of his hair to put in the cremation box. They ended up giving me the upgraded wooden box with engraved gold plated name for free instead of just the velvet bag. Later on they even sent me a card and an imprint of his paw with his name on it like you do with babies and their hand print. They were so nice and caring. The only thing that would make this vet perfect is if they were a little bit cheaper.
