Just wanted to say a few words about my experience with Dr. Tarlton. My vet passed away and was looking for another vet. Not only did I find another vet, but I feel I found gold. Dr. Tarlton is so caring and compassionate, I can't believe there are Vets like him still around. He is definately old school. I just wanted to say thank you for helping me with my very delicate situation with my little dog. You went way beyond any Dr. would have done. I will be bringing my other dogs to him and his staff to take care of their needs. May God Bless you, your staff, and your business.

Dr Tarlton is our vet from now on. What a great experience! Very knowledgeable, affordable & personable. I had tried other vets in town (even one within walking distance of this one), but keep feeling like I was getting the run around. Estimates for tests, procedures and meds that were darn expensive and seemed almost unnecessary. I'm not a vet however. It's hard to know what's essential vs. just running up the bill to pay for new equipment they bought. Austin Ave. Animal Hospital is exactly what I needed. Dr. T cut right thru the BS other vets were telling me. His office staff is his family and they are so warm and genuine. Just a great country vet.

Just to let anyone know. If you have a pet or farm animal you should go to this Vet. He is the kindest, smartest, most knowledgeable, vet I've come across. I went through 16 different vets in Brownwood and here in the Austin area. And this vet is the best and most affordable vet there is. Half the cost and twice the care. .

Great service with a very affordable price. Dr T. is a very caring Vet. It takes me a little more than half hour drive from Austin but I don't mind at all.

Called saying that my cat was sick and I needed to make an appointment. Got told, rudely, that they couldn't see my cat till next week. Oh great, I'll just let him die then. The receptionist wasn't even politely apologetic, he sounded like having to explain to me that they didn't have time for my cat was more favor than I deserved. Haven't ever gone to this vet and I never will.
