I've been going to this vet for about a year, they were recommended to me after my dog had an emergency room visit. I've been a pet owner my whole life, and I've never experienced such satisfaction with a vet before! I got a 6 week old boxer from a backyard breeder. The first visit my boxer had, I was told she was severely sick, and may need a blood transfusion, and just maybe we could help her. With lots of medicine, and lots of tlc from not only me, but the vet as well, she slowly became a big healthy baby! We were seeing the vet a few times a week, and the vet was very very thorough and consistent with her care. Not to mention the vet was considerate enough to make some visits free of charge!! They know my dog by name now, and are always very excited and happy to see how much shes growing and how healthy she is. It warms my heart to know that there are people who still do their job for the love of it, and not the money. Dr. Potter is my go to lady, she's compassionate and I trust her with every single one of my animals. Dr.Jensen and Dr.Nguyen are also outstanding, and I am very comfortable with them filling in for Dr.Potter! I don't usually write reviews, and I am usually more of a cynical person...but when it comes to my animal's care, I expect the best, and Atascazoo has given me nothing less than the best!

I'd heard some negative things about this place so I never pursued using them. My 17yr old mixed breed pup had been suffering seizures and I came home from work to find him in distress. I decided it was time to end all his suffering but my vet was already closing. They gave me 3 ph #'s and the only one still opened was AtascaZoo. The staff greeted me compassionately and set us up in a room to await the vet. Initially, she seemed caring but snapped to the technician to 'get a muzzle' when my poor guy yelped and turned his head as a reaction to the shot she gave him as a tranquilizer. She was giving him a shot in his hurt leg - what else could she expect!! And muzzling a dog that's being put down is, in my opinion, very uncaring and unsympathetic to the owner. I pleaded with her and from then on, she became rude and curt. I was too distraught about losing my dog to speak my mind. I will NEVER go back there and I will not recommend anyone going there - especially in the 'off hours'. Possibly their daytime vets are better, but I wouldn't chance it.

They're open 7 days a week and always very friendly and caring. They chipped my dog years ago and it was here that they heard my dog's heart 'murmur' during a routine checkup. I was referred to a doggy cardiologist who confirmed his leaking heart valve, enlarged heart and congestive heart failure. I wouldn't have know if not for these guys. I'm also grateful for their emergency care. 1 year later, my dog collapsed early in the morning. I rushed him in and they immediately stabilized him, giving him oxygen, etc. I was told they suspected internal bleeding but wouldn't know for sure without a simple test. I agreed, and sadly, they were spot on. I was given the number to a specialist and rushed him over. The tech helped me carry him to my car was crying. He was more alert, but It wasn't looking good. The specialist found a mass on his spleen that had ruptured. He pulled through.. barely and the mass turned out to be benign. These days we're just dealing with his congestive heart failure and trying to manage it as best as possible. My dog's cardiologist isn't open on weekends, so when I forget to refill one of his 7 meds, Atascazoo is open and quickly fills it for me. I will always be grateful to the staff at Atascazoo. If not for them, I probably would not have had my dog around these last few years.

They have been seeing my rottweiler for a year for congestive heart failure. You'd think someone would recognize her and call me when she escaped from my yard and was brought to their offices. Instead they put her down because she was "having difficulty breathing" don't use this vet, they only want your money
