This has to be the worst Banfield I have ever been to. I have been on the Wellness Plan for 3 years. I have been to multiple Banfield hospitals. ( Charlotte, North Carolina ( 2 hospitals there) Ann Arbor, MI - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina). I have always received great service and I felt like my pet was being cared for. However my experience with the Killeen location has been awful. My husband brought my dog in to get medication for his allergies and have his feet looked at to make sure he did not have a yeast and bacterial infection due to him licking them (allergies). They (male doctor) sent him home saying nothing was wrong, when i called up there they said that is not what they advised my husband. Granted im sure there is a grey area of communication since it was my husband and not me there. I went up there 2 weeks later because my dogs feet clearly had an infection. Before the Doctor (a different one than he was seen by before a younger lady in her mid 30s kind of chunky with long brown hair) even looked at my dogs feet she had already tried to sell me $750 worth of food trial stuff just off of what I had told her of his issues. Well if she had even bothered to look into the system she would have noticed 2 years prior i had paid $350 to get an allergy test done on him to figure out what his chronic problems were caused from. And he is allergic to dust mites. She didnt even want to give me the medication i wanted. So i explained to her he needed a skin scrape done on his feet (not sure if she even did one) and that we would go from there. Needless to say she comes back and says he has an infection in his feet. Well dahh!!! And still tried to sell me all this other garbage i did not need. I told her i was only giving my dog medication and a steroid shot and all i was paying was $268 since that is what i always pay. She comes back with his medication and then it was $350. Umm wait why so much oh well you need this special shampoo and oil to squirt on his food. No take it off the list and give me his meds and steroid shot. Then they told me it was my responsibility to care for my dog and I was not doing that. With a snarky attitude like i was being unreasonable. Are you Kidding Me I have spent thousands of dollars treating my dog and I know what his issues are. All they want is to rip people off. Please if you actually want a good vet I recommend not going there and going to Belton on Aztec. I have since cancelled my wellness plan and was informed by Banfield that they are a privately owned hospital and they pay to use their name and that I was not the first to have this issues with them.
VERY MONEY HUNGRY. I brought my dog in for one specific thing and they try to test her for everything under the sun. the doctor seemed very rushed and only offered the most expensive items. I have a friend in the veterinary field and I called her to let her know some of the services being offered and they didn't give me an alternative to antibiotics, just the most expensive injection, when I can just give my dog a pill, but that wasn't offered, since it seems to be the cheapest route. Overall, I would not recommend coming here. The tech and receptionist was great but that's about it. I just wonder if the doctors are in it for the love of the animals or money.
Banfield was great until we PCS (Changed Military Duty Station August 2007) Zero balance. The employee tried to help us find a facility at our new location. None were close and we closed our account. We were told that everything was good, and we had nothing to worry about. We would not be charged. Our credit card continued being charged till December 2008, total $287. I called Banfield, from our new duty station and was told that nothing was being charged. I explained our credit history was being affected new total $386. Nothing was corrected to date. Even after paperwork was faxed and mailed proving their mistake. The employee apologized, stating she did not know what else to tell us. Paying on a closed account is unacceptable.
I think their awsome I got a kitten from my aunt and immediatly took him in and put him on a wellness plan. Whenever he goes in for anything, obviously he hates it lol, but the staff is excited to see him knows him by name they track everything about him yeah its a bit of a wait but animals are our kids you wait at the doc for a min, well the vet any quiker. And if u complain about price put ur animal on a plan I pay about $20 a month and his shot nueter and exams are covered and u get a discount on meds. I love my baby boy more than anything and id get him the best treatment possible and I believe its banfield
HORRIBLE DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE... My Saint Bernard was diagnosed with Parvo at Banfield they gave him an IV and one shot of antibiotics and a pill for puking and they charged me $566.00. The whole time all they asked was how am I going to pay they seemed more concerned about payment then health even after I paid for it they seemed more concerned about money then my dog. They were closing so everything was also rushed... Brought him back the next day cause he was not holding anything down and they charged me another $500 for fluids IV all they worry about is taking your money and careless about the status of your loved one. Brought him to Aztec vet office this morning and did everything banfield did plus more and only charged $97.00 and called twice since we left the clinic to check up on him and for the first time in 5 days he is finally drinking and holding the water down.
