Best vet practice ever! I speak from plenty of experience when I say this as I have a 10 1/2 yr old Golden with Addison's disease. He has been sick since a puppy and requires monthly injections and daily medication for his lifetime. We also have 2 other dogs. Being military we have moved and been to many different vets but this one is outstanding. Our vet is Dr. Ledger but we have also seen Dr. Ray. Both doctors are very competent and caring. They clearly explain the problem/illness and are always there if you need follow up help after your visit. The techs and front office staff are awesome, and they even have a nice spacious waiting room. I highly recommend this practice and wish we could take them with us when we move again.
I am so pleased with Town & Country Veterinary Clinic. I was referred to this clinic when I first became a pet owner but I tried another clinic instead. Along the way through the years I have tried various other clinics seeking out the best care for my pets and I finally decided to give Town & Country a try. I could not be more happier that I did. I have finally found a facility that gives my dogs the care that is deserving of them. I am very picky about what I feed them and how I spoil and pamper them and I want a vet that will care for them and give them the attention, care and the best medical treatment they could possibly have and I have found that with Town & Country. Dr. Ledger has gone above and beyond with Lady and I could not be happier. She just finished her stay at the vet hospital and she was looked after with love and care. Leslie and the other ladies that took care of Lady were amazing! I wish I could list them all by name but unfortunately I didn't get the names of the ladies but they know who they are and I will never forget how amazing they were with Lady. They took away all my anxiety about leaving Lady. I knew that while Lady was away from me that she was still being loved on and cuddled and cared for. Both of my dogs has been cared for by all the Doctors there. Dr Ledger is out main Veterinarian, but when he is not there they have seen Dr. Ray and Dr. Jacobs and I thank them all providing the best care for my babies. If you are looking for a place for your pets to go, look no further than Town & Country. From the Sheryl and Uta at the receptionist desk to the doctors and the veterinarian techs, your pets could not be in better hands!
Dr. Ray has been Felicias Doctor since December of 2003, sometimes I think she likes him better than her own Mom and Dad, always get GREAT care and HONEST opinions. Town and Country does what needs to be done and makes recommendations on stuff that will help your pet. Prices are inline with or lower than most competitors.
If I could give the veterinary hospital, Dr. Jacobs and the nurse that barely assisted us an negative amount of stars I would. This has to be the worst experience I've ever had with a vet. I brought my sick pitbull into their facility and they quoted me a price of over $450. My girlfriend and I expressed that we did not have that amount currently but would be willing to work out anything if they could still treat Prince. The heartless nurse told my girlfriend (against the vet code of ethics) if we could not pay there is nothing they could do. They sent us home with an IV and and antibiotic and the nurse said to me "I don't think this gonna help him but here you go". 4 hours later my girlfriend and I sat next to my puppy and literally watched him stop breathing. Today (10 June 2014) my girlfriend spoke with Dr Jacobs and he is just as heartless as his staff. Even while speaking to my girlfriend on the phone his overall tone expressed no remorse for his staffs poor decision making. He stated that "he stands by his staff" They are over priced because that is all that matters to this practice, not the well being of animals. We are completely disgusted with this practice and as long as I reside in Killeen, Tx I will NEVER go there again. I rather drive to Belton Vet clinic then receive horrible service like this again. I guess it is easy for him not to care, it wasn't his animal that died in front of his family. But then again he probably wouldn't care then either.
This is by far the BEST veterinary office I've ever been to. The staff and doctors are excellent. I began seeing Dr. Jacobs with my dog about 3 1/2 years ago and recently adopted a kitten. Dr. Jacobs is very nice and knowledgeable. Dr. Jacobs was on vacation when I needed a check-up for the kitten so we saw Dr. Ledger, who is absolutely amazing and very easy to talk to and I'll keep seeing him for the kitten. As long as I live in this area, I won't go anywhere else for my pets' care!
