We had taken our furry babies to Donna Medford for four years before we moved from La Porte, TX to Lago Vista, TX in 2009 and have yet to find a veteranarian in the Lake Travis Northshore area who can even hold a candle to Dr. Donna. She and her staff all established great rapport with our Tiki and Riki right from the very first visits and the friendliness shown to my husband and me were every bit as personable. We felt almost as if we were family and our little critters (both Chihuahuas) were always so much more relaxed when we went there than at any other vets' clinics......I think it's because of that "family" atmosphere! All of the above being said I will now say, also, that the treatments, diagnoses and prognoses were always "spot on" and the examinations, shots and any other procedures performed were always done with kindness and empathy toward our pets by Dr. Donna and/or her staff. When we had to have our Tiki laid down to sleep while on a trip to Arizona in 2007, Dr. Donna was so kind and compassionate when she learned what had happened and shared our joy when we took 8 week old Riki in for her first exam with her a couple of weeks later. As she said "you haven't tried to replace Tiki, but have actually honored her memory by getting little Riki so soon after losing Tiki". With the exception of surgical procedures (ie..when we had Riki spayed) all procedures and examinations were done IN OUR PRESENCE which is not what I'm finding in our current location in the Austin, TX area. When we moved in 2009 I wish I could have "packed" Dr. Donna and her crew in my suitcase and brought them with us! I'm ready to start making the trip to La Porte (150+ miles) so Riki can again be treated by Dr. Donna! Maybe her yearly wellness exam and shots might be a feasible undertaking? We shall see!

Not sure about the other vets working there but, I can say that DVM. Donna Medford was most interested in my wallet. I had taken my dog there because of a skin allergy & the problem had been documented & we knew she only needed a Cortizone shot. But the good doctor insisted every single visit that a skin scraping & lab testing be done before she would give the shot. She claimed that the problem could be caused by mites while knowing that the allergy was genetic. I wouldn't even take a goldfish to Donna Medford.

I have been using Dr. Peterson for the past 3yrs for my horses. They are reasonable and comaprative to other vets. I have also started bring my dogs last year. I do not have any complaints with Underwood Animal Clinic.
