Rude Skank Tina If you go here they will double the price and the rude Skank Tina will tell with a condescending smile on her face that she will call the police if you cannot pay the whole amount. She cannot afford to pay the astronomical bill they will force you to pay, but she will be happy to be a horrible person with a smile on her face while making you feel like you're low class. I believe they care more about the almighty dollar than actually helping your family member and Tina is absolutely horrible.
We take our rescue dogs there and they were very proactive when our older dog which is a lab, about 2 1/2 years old at the time started limping badly after playing hard, they took x-rays of her elbows and she had a serious case of elbow dysplasia which led to what we thought at the time to be a very expensive surgery at Gulf Coast Veterinary Hospital in River Oaks.Dr Jiménez who was there at the time recommended GCVH and said they are one of the finest vet hospitals in the world. We'll after going there, we know indeed they are as former George HW Bush had surgery on his springer spaniel there many years ago, and people from all over the world bring their pets their for surgery. So Dr. Jiménez said we should take a look at our Australian black and tan hound for dysplasia issues. And sure enough, her hips we basically not in the sockets. She is now 3 and has had 6 surgeries to replace both hips with prosthetic implants and has had both knees completely reconstructed with her last surgery 9 weeks ago. Again, thought the first surgery was expensive, but those 6 surgeries collectively cost more than most nice carscars. We are grateful to them for their excellent diagnosis of our dog's dysplasia problems as they are both healthy, happy and active again. We mis Dr. Jiménez badly, but Dr. Kessler is also great with our dogs and has solved intestinal problems that have plagued them for so long. Their are always spot on with their diagnoses and treatments and take excellent care of our dogs. I would recommend them to anyone.
I boarded my pet with AKPH for two weeks. When I checked her in, I gave very specific feeding and food instructions. My pet has Pancreatitis and is on a very strict low fat gastrointestinal diet. I hand wrote a note for them with feeding times and medication schedules. I wrote on her food bag "RX food only, NO Treats, no other foods" on all four sides of the bag. She gets fed three times a day. I measured out the appropriate amount of food for them for her to have 3 meals a day plus added a few bags just in case. When I picked my pet up from their office, the tech said she took her medicine very well even without the pill pocket, but she went ahead and gave it to her anyway because it was like a treat. We told her that she was not supposed to have any treats and we had been very clear on that. She said the treat didn't make her sick, so it should be ok. After we got home, I counted out the number of bags of food that were left and out of 50, there were 19 left. They should have used 42 for a 14 day stay at 3 times a day. We contacted AKPH and were told by Tammy that during the holidays they only have someone in twice a day to take care of the boarded pets. Had I been told that prior to bringing her, I would have divided her food up appropriately. Instead they chose to starve my pet for two weeks and give her treats that could have potentially caused her an Emergency Hospital stay. I would not recommend this business to anyone that values the life of their pet. If you are looking to get rid of your pet, please use AKPH.
The staff is outstanding! Not just the doctors, but also the ladies at the front desk, and the veterinary technicians. It is very apparent that they truly care for the pets and the owners.
Great service again! We get in and out quickly and the staff is great and the Vet will take the time to speak to you one on one. I highly recommend Animal Kingdom to all of our friends.
