Incompetent, unprofessional, and uncaring. Dr vet how could you not feel the apple sized tumor in my cat's abdomen three times? How could you recommend the wrong treatments for a month? How could you recommend putting another of my cats into a pillow case and rubber band it closed because he is too traumatized to go to the vet's office? How do you stay licensed? 1 star because wont allow 0 stars.

The staff was great in the first years I began taking my 3 dogs. Everyone was great until yesterday when I took my 2 year old Pitbull/German Shepard mix to begin his heartworm treatment. They made us give him his pill and NEGLECTED him for the 8 HOURS he was there! Absolutely horrible to bring my dog home and he drinks 3 full bowls of water and eats like crazy. I called this morning and they said they had fed him. LIES. They later on changed their story to say that he was growling at them. HE WAS IN A LOCKED CAGE. I'm taking him next month to see how these next 8 hours go. If my dog returns in the same conditions I will go up there and make a scene. Pet owners make sure to actually know if your animals are being left in safe hands. I thought mine was but I'm not so sure now. If he's NEGLECTED again Clear Springs Animal Hospital will be faced with a LAWSUIT FOR ANIMAL NEGLECT. I will make sure that the staff learn their lesson in proper care of animals. This is abuse and absolutely unacceptable.

Dr. Bessell is an excellent vet. His care and attention to our pets has always been invaluable. I would not hesitate to recommend him or his clinic to anyone that was in need of a vet.

the staff and dr's are wonderful. they loved my little girl as much as I do and took such fabulous care of her. as they have all my dogs. they are almost like pet counselors as they are their to guide you and help you with tough decisions and to hold your hand thru the tough moments and to rejoice with you when all works out. i cant say enough about how wonderful EVERYONE is there. thank you!

When I took my almost 17 year old cat to be euthanized, they told me what to expect. I had done this in the past with other pets as they had gotten old and sick so I pretty much knew how it should go. It didn't go that way at all. They put the needle in her leg and as Dr. Bessell started putting in the medication, she hissed and screamed. I was horrified. The vet tech proceeded to hold down my pet while Dr. Bessell did this. He finally stopped and tried to get a different vein, saying it must have rolled onto a nerve. He tried the other leg and again she hissed but she'd had enough medication that she could barely move. It was a horrible ending to the life of a beloved pet. I took her so she would have a peaceful ending instead of starving because she couldn't keep any food down, and instead I felt that she thought I'd taken her to be tortured. No one wants to have to euthanize their pet but you do it because you don't want them to suffer. For me, this experience was the worst I've ever had. It broke my heart and made a bad time the worst it could possibly be.
