Love the friendly, knowledgeable staff who always work with me on scheduling. Dr Blackburn and Dr Hegi are the best in town at explaining exactly what they are doing while doing it and keeping me up to date on what needs to be done to keep my cats in excellent health.,...once saved me $900 another surgeon wanted to do a surgery by suggesting an altenative which has been working ever since (3 yrs ago). I also volunteer with the Humane Society of West TX and we take many animals here and have always had excellant service and results. Very caring vets!

Another veterinarian in town almost killed my cat, Brie, after an ovariohysterectomy went horribly wrong. My boyfriend took her in to Dr. Hegi, who did NOT care at all; although he was knowledgeable, my boyfriend left in tears because Dr. Hegi demanded $700 to pump Brie full of fluids and then go back in the SAME EXACT AFTERNOON without even making sure she could handle another surgery first. Hegi looked at Brie, then looked at my boyfriend and said tersely, "Whatever happens to her, I do expect payment. Today." I'm glad he was so rude to my boyfriend because we wound up going to Above and Beyond Pet Care Hospital, which nursed Brie back to health and was the best experience I've ever had with a veterinarian. Basically, if you want your animal to be treated like a real living creature and not just some random animal with health problems, if you don't want to be condescended and looked down upon because you dared to waste a veterinarian's time, don't come here. Go to Above and Beyond.

I have taken all my animals here for years and I love their friendly courteous staff and great service. Dr. Hegi is one of the best vets around! I only have 1 complaint and that is that they have no emergency facilities and the emergency room they recommend is very expensive and does not work with you on payments.

Very nice staff. Dr. Hegi is very knowledgeable, short and to the point. Gave me the answers to all my question. A bit expensive but for my kitten to feel better it's worth it to have someone who knows what they are talking about and doing.
