Everyone in the office was always friendly and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The doctors always took the time to address any concerns I had and were great with my senior Lhasa Apso. Dr. Key also encouraged me to call with any other concerns, which I appreciated. All positive experiences here in the six years that I lived in Lubbock!

When I first got to Lubbock five and half years ago I called quite a few veterinary clinics just to see which receptionist had the kindest sounding voice, Key Animal Clinic won. I believe the person I talked to all those years ago was Rachel, but I could be wrong. In the past I have been shamed to the point of tears by a vet*, so I was nervous about my first visit to the clinic with my cat of three years, nervous up until the point I met the vets Dr. Priya A. Dahanukar and Dr. Emily N. Shockey. They were calm and comfortable around cats. The whole experience was great. When I went up front to pay, they gave me a first time customer discount and some free advantage (they also did this when I brought in a new cat several years later . . . I guess the cats are the real customers ;-). I also met Dr. Key once before I had to move and in that brief visit he gave me a number of a person to interview for an article I was interested in writing! Over the five and a half years I went to Key Animal Clinic I never had a bad experience and I never had to wait that long to get in, which is nice, considering the mixed (cat and dog) waiting room. If I were a millionaire I would hire these vets as my personal on call cat healers, since I'm not a millionaire I'll settle for writing them a stellar review.
