We are a CRAH family! We have two adult AKC Chocolate Labs and a toy poodle. And a cat. And two horses. AND our labs just had a litter of 8 puppies! Dr. Guevara has taken care of all of them and several of the new puppy owners have continued to use him. Our pets feel special when they see him and the office staff always knows my name and theirs (kind of like "Cheers" for animals). Also, very military friendly (read: military discount). They call me with reminders about upcoming shots and such. Couldn't ask for more!

We purchased a "Deal of the Day" deal for pet GROOMING, the staff was friendly when I took our dog in and when we picked her up, we were escorted into an examination room and was told the vet would be in to talk to us. Our dog is an older dog and we have a regular vet who knows about her issues. We were told about everything wrong with our dog and we informed the vet that we had a regular vet across San Antonio, where we live. When I told the vet what our vet had told us (to the best of my ability) she looked at me like I was lying or our vet was an idiot. Our vet is wonderful! I felt like the GROOMING deal was just a way to scare up vet service customers. We left with a $400 - $600 estimate for surgery and dental care! Oh, and we had to pay the taxes on the grooming services....might be normal for Groupons and Deal of the Day Deals....but we have never had to on any deals we have bought in the past...never! and I have bought a ton! Left feeling like I had been to a time-share scam.

Great staff, professional attitude, they are really there to help. Not like other vets with big fancy buildings, and they never talk down to you like other places that rhyme with dr. Meckers animal hospital/spa.

This is the best vet I have ever been to! They treat my dog great! Always nice to us. The vet himself is very professional and helpful. And they are very affordable! Not crazy over priced as other vets. I highly recommend everyone choose this place!

My cat was functional prior to arrival for a check up. I was upsold a blood test to check his organ function. I was assured by Dr. Guevara that I would be informed of the results the very next day. I was not, and that is where the trouble began: they had my phone number wrong, even after I had twice corrected it with the receptionist prior to departing. I finally called them instead four days later, and was told by Dr. Guevara that "the organ function was normal," but that he was "concerned about oral abcesses" on the pet, which had never effected his formerly voracious appetite, by the way, as I mentioned to this vet. Within five days of administering the recommended doses of oral antibiotic prescribed here, the cat began losing weight, and eventually refused to eat anymore. Dr. Guevara was once again contacted, and prescribed a "friendly flora" supplement, apparently oblivious to my assertion that the cat refused to eat. Bottom line: a beloved pet who would have made it several more years instead perished shortly after his first visit to a business I since have coined: "Callaghan Road Kill." [Go ahead and prepare your defense, Dr. Guevara- but rest assured: I have every intention of reporting this incident to the Texas Veterinary Board.]
