I have known Dr. Nichols since the 1980's. He treated my dogs & cats since starting private practice in San Antonio. He is without a doubt the most compassionate and kind hearted small animal veterinarian. He is a highly trained and consummate professional. He has gone above & beyond in caring for all of my pets over many years. I have the upmost respect for this gentleman. I noticed multiple negative reviews coming from one disgruntled source. She obviously has grief issues and it is unfortunate that her wrath has been targeted at Dr. Nichols. He is a good man and doesn't deserve slander. I am among MANY happy and appreciative clients who have entrusted their beloved pets to Dr. Nichols. He is one of the best veterinarians in the city and we are fortunate to have him. ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. Crestway Animal Clinic was the worst vet experience of my life and it cost my cat her life. My elderly cat was operated on under dangerous anesthesia without consent or even informing me. There was no presurgical labwork, no preanesthetic evaluation (she had a CNS disorder which precluded her from EVER being a candidate for anesthesia), and no IV fluids despite Edward J. Nichols DVM noting "v. dehydrated" on her chart and his notation of "multiple organ shutdown." My cat was literally dying when he operated on her without my knowledge I got her to four second opinion vets but they could not save her. Not ONE of the four fatal diagnoses -- CRF, anemia, hypokalemia and hyperphosphotemia are recorded anywhere on her chart. Crestway Animal Clinic is a disgrace and Edward J. Nichols DVM is a joke - would NEVER recommend under ANY circumstances.I have all the documentation that proves all of the above. Read Suki's Story.
