I have known Dr. Nichols since the 1980's. He treated my dogs & cats since starting private practice in San Antonio. He is without a doubt the most compassionate and kind hearted small animal veterinarian. He is a highly trained and consummate professional. He has gone above & beyond in caring for all of my pets over many years. I have the upmost respect for this gentleman. I noticed multiple negative reviews coming from one disgruntled source. She obviously has grief issues and it is unfortunate that her wrath has been targeted at Dr. Nichols. He is a good man and doesn't deserve slander. I am among MANY happy and appreciative clients who have entrusted their beloved pets to Dr. Nichols. He is one of the best veterinarians in the city and we are fortunate to have him. A NIGHTMARE. Edward J. Nichols' hideous and repeated mistreatment of my cat defies description. Four second opinion vets tried to save her after Nichols performed unauthorized surgery on her under dangerous anesthesia without my knowledge or consent, and then left her dying, collapsed, and dehydrated in a cage at Crestway Animal Hellhole for hours without bothering to notify me of her condition. He wrote "multiple organ shutdown" on her chart and left her to die. Unfortunately for him, she lived (surprise! I bet he wishes he had cranked up that anesthesia a little higher) and the new vets identified the mistreatment that was done to her. Repeated omissions of diagnoses, symptoms, weight, temperature, names and dosages of prescription drugs on his sloppy, shabby, inaccurate, incomplete medical records because he's too damn lazy and arrogant to write down vital information required by law (apparently the rules don't apply to him). There are no words to describe the hideousness of this so-called "doctor" who has his little friends and family papering the internet with phony 5-star reviews. The guy is a freak show who's been pulling this crap for years -- he just didn't count on Suki living long enough to leave evidence of his negligence and incompetence. Only God knows how many other pets he has killed using the same techniques, because their owners would never know what he is really doing to them. Do not fall for his "nice guy" act -- he came after me with lawyers and an unconstitutional injunction to try to keep me from telling Suki's Story and he failed, but dragged me and my family through almost three years of legal hell trying to bully me into silence. He is a control freak who will do anything to get his way, no matter how many animals and people are harmed or how much TRUST he ABUSES, and he'll do it with a phony smile on his face and a phony tear in his eye playing the "victim" every step of the way. Read Suki's Story for all the gory details of how this unconscionable bully killed my beloved companion, who didn't deserve the prolonged suffering at the hands of this "doctor." My testifying expert vet from A&M University described nine violations of the standard of care committed by Nichols on one day alone. I pray every day this piece of crap QUACK Nichols rots in hell for what he did to Suki and so many others.

AWESOME VET! We have been taking our animals to Dr Nichols for the last 16 years. He has been very good to our animals. He is also a great support in the community. He is very smart and is respected by us. We moved to a nearby city about 5 years ago and still trust him enough to drive to Windcrest because of his compassionate care.
