I didnt think veternarian clinics that cared that are affordable still existed. After a bad experience at becker animal hospital and my own vet ready to just jump right in to treating my dog for heartworm, a very expensive and risky treatment, my friend recommended this vet. I sent over all the xrays and tests and the ran their own tests, didnt redo the xrays like most vets would want to raise the bill on, and my dog tested negative. We explored other options for her symptoms and still made sure to rule out heartworm over a few months of testing and she turned out to be a healthy dog. Then i took her back to my vet for a regular check up because i dont have a car and we can walk there, all of a sudden she has heartworm again and the bill is ridiculous and was misquoted. I called deerfield and the doctor we had seen wasnt there so another doctor said bring her in and worked with my financial difficulty and explained that they did the wrong kind of heartworm test (long explanation if you dont know the difference) for this situation and it was probably contaminated, and viola! Heartworm negative. No more going to other vets and throwing my money down the toilet and going on emotional roller coaster rides.

This was an amazing animal hospital! Everyone from the staff to the veterinarian I worked with was so kind and understanding. Dr. Hey was my veterinarian when my cat was really ill and he was really excellent. He took time to call even when he wasn't working to check in and make sure everything was going well. It meant so much to me. Deerfield was so personable and I truly felt that they were there just for my pet.

The entire staff at Deerfield Animal Hospital is amazing and compassionate to both pets and pet owners. They go out of their way to assure the pet owner and make sure your pets are in good health. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs and, even though I moved across town, I will not take them to any one else. Any time I have a concern, they will talk to me on the phone before recommending I come in on a consultation. After every visit I can expect a prompt follow up call to make sure every thing is okay. They have, by far, the best vets I have ever worked with in my 27 years of owning animals.
