Please I ask you if your pet was in any kind of harm do not take it to this hospital unless you have lots of money. I spent 350 on my cat that had been badly bitten an they told me I either pay them or they would kill my cat. I pleaded with them and told them I could have money in the next couple weeks but I didn't have it on the spot and they told me this is a business. so I somehow scraped up the money paid them and they handed me my cat with medicine and said follow the direction on the box... The next day was my cat was getting worse so we called the hospital and asked if we should clean the wound or if there's anything we could do to help her they told us do not clean the wound and just let her heal... Well that was not working so we took her to another hospital and they told us that the care that was given to her was very poor so they cleaned her up restitched her wounds gave us a list of instructions on how to help her. and they only charged us 130. I can't vouch for all the vets there but don't go on Sunday night for sure!
I brought in one of my cats at around 10 PM at night as she fell from the loft. I was really worried that she was hurt bad. I was greeted by a nice professional receptionist, my cat was seen immediately and she got excellent care. I was so happy they were open late on a Friday night. I highly recommend this Animal hospital.
I don't usually write a lot of reviews but this place deserved it. I took my cat in on a Sunday afternoon and the staff was very fast and courteous. Dr Downey has a great bedside manner and is a very good communicator. They got my cat fixed up quick and the price not cheap, but was fair. I also appreciated the fact that they didn't sell me a bunch of unnecessary procedures. This place was a little out of the way for me but I'm glad I decided to give them a try. I will definitely take my cat back again.
Tonight, I brought in a stray dog that was hit by a car and bleeding on the side of the road. The poor dog was suffering and coughing up blood; he was breathing rapidly, but still breathing. I felt he could be saved so I was hoping the emergency vet could perform a miracle and help the poor dog. The people working were nice but they were way too calm and didn't look like they wanted to really help him. They probably did care but not as much as I would believe vets are known to care. They were too quick to suggest euthanizing it, and I believe the sweet dog had a chance, but all the lady at the front desk was suggesting was that it really had no chance and it really wasn't worth it. I was even willing to pay but they were hinting that it'd come out to thousands of dollars. I don't have that much, but this is a life, just cause I don't have the money to pay for it shouldn't mean they should just ignore that it had a chance to live... that's called murder. They were nice so I cannot say that they aren't... and they're VERY professional. I'm just upset that them or maybe no one else cares enough to save a poor dog that doesn't have anyone that can speak for him. It's just not fair.
Dr. Ramsey is really wonderful. My dog was diagnosed with hemangeosarcoma, and he gave me a realistic view of what to expect--his professional and personal opinion--both of which I valued so very much. Even though I decided to not amputate my dog's leg, I had possible regrets about it and asked Dr. Ramsey his thoughts. He reassured me it is my decision, but suggested to get ultrasounds first, since we were not aware if the cancer spread to the abdomen area. I did that--very reasonably priced and convenient. Unfortunately, tumors were found in those areas, which resulted in my decision to not amputate. Dr. Ramsey was so compassionate, in a true professional and personable way, and reassured me we would keep my dog as comfortable as possible until the time came for him (my dog). One of the greatest things about Dr. Ramsey is that this was my first limited time seeing him, and he remembered me, my dog, and our story. He spent time with my dog and me, explaining everything. He called me to explain the results as soon as they came in, walked me through my options. I normally go to another veterinarian and came to Dr. Ramsey because of the rave reviews people give about his expertise on specialized issues (including my own vet who has referred people to him!). He remembered the smallest details that just came up in conversation (like, I would be unable to come on a certain day because I had an interview out of town....who remembers that?!). This shows he LISTENS, something paramount to this profession. There are a couple staff members who were very sweet (maybe Julie and Sam. And Brian who happily helped me put my dog in the car each time, with such care). The vet tech was compassionate and always kind and smiling. Mind you I literally only went to this animal hospital I think a total of 4 times in a month, but this was a great experience I wanted to share with you all.
