I have taken my dog to Traveling Tails (TT) for years. I always thought this place was a good mid-level vet, meaning not fancy but a solid practice that does what needs to be done at a fair price. My only complaint up until now was that they pulled a tooth that did not necessarily need to be pulled during a surgery, which ticked me off but the honesty of the vet and my previous experiences with them were enough to keep me as a customer up until now. The vet at TT has, up until now, always filled a prescription for my dog through PetMeds. She has always given me a hard time about it because she wants me to buy the meds from her practice but has always filled it after I have declined to purchase it from her (for a year’s supply I save about $50 so it’s worth it to me). On my latest checkup (which was $550) for some antibiotics, blood tests and prescription refill I was given a VERY hard time about getting the prescription to be filled by PetMeds, but as usual the vet agreed and gave me the script (except this time for only a few months’ supply when I had previously gotten a year's supply). When I tried to fill my prescription through PetMeds as we agreed to, the vet from TT called me to tell me she would not be filling it and that I needed to purchase the meds from TT. I have spent at least 5k at this place and they won't let me save a few dollars by purchasing my dog’s meds through PetMeds? It looks like I need to find a new vet and if you order your pet's meds through PetMeds definitely steer clear of this place. While I understand that every practice needs to be profitable they should allow their PAYING and LOYAL customers a choice in where they purchase their meds from. I mean how would you feel if your own doctor told you the only way you could get your prescription filled was to purchase it through their own pharmacy at a mark-up verses going through Walgreens or CVS? That would never fly. I’ll be taking my pup elsewhere....

We have used Traveling Tails for years for our toy poodle. The entire staff is consistently professional, friendly & attentive to me & my dog. They have always gone the extra mile & go over & beyond while our dog is in their care. Dr. Tommack is thorough in her examinations and has provided our dog with quality care. I would definitley recommend Traveling Tails!

After being with another veterinarian for 15 years I moved too far away. Luckily I found Traveling Tails 5 minutes from my new residence. I took my 3 cats in and the staff and doctors there are very informative and compassionate. Last year one of my good friends had her 20 year old cat dying at home and her veterinarian could not put her to sleep until a day or two later!! I was appalled. I called Traveling Tails and the doctor went out in her mobile unit that same day within 2 hours and put my friend's cat to sleep so that the little cat could pass away in her bed at home with my friend at her side. I was so grateful and so was my friend. Her cat was suffering and this veterinarian helped ease that in a humane way. I recommend this veterinarian hospital to anyone.

Called to get information on services and the girl that answered the phone had no idea what she was talking about. They have the market cornered so they can charge what ever they want. They need to hire people who are at least educated in the services they offer.

Very unsatisfied.
