I don't use the vet services, per say, but have used Missy as my dog's groomer for the last five years. She is the absolute best. She knows what she is doing and gives my dog a fancy poodle cut. She's so sweet with my dog and even asks about him when I drop in to pick up heartworm medication. The ladies at the front desk don't know my name but they know my dog's name and that's what is important! My dog has a very soft temperament and doesn't do well with loud people. Missy is the sweetest with him and my dog loves her right back!

The people are great. I took my dog in without an appointment because he was really sick and needed antibiotics. He got sick during the sewer line break, and it dumped hundreds of gallons of sewage into the San Marcos River. I didn't know this happened and my dog and I went swimming that day and he was sick shortly after for several days. One visit to the vet and he started healing. Thanks!

I love love love this vet. I adopted my terrier mix from the San Marcos shelter and this is where they sent him to receive his first vaccinations and where I had to pick him up from on his adoption day. I used this place for 2 1/2 years while I was in living there. My dog has gotten shots and neutered at this place and he's always been treated well. I couldn't be happier that the shelter chooses this place to send their animals. The vet and all the staff are great with the people and animals. They remembered me after the first time going and always offer great discounts. I've never had more than a 10 minute wait to see the vet even when I had to take him in suddenly because he had a reaction to his vaccinations. After that visit and hims getting neutered they even called to check up on him. When I called to set up an appointment at 2 pm on a certain day the receptionist even told me if I went after 4 pm it would be 20% off. Whenever I had to get an extra test during the same visit they didn't end up charging me for it. These are great people here and they're not just out for money. I only wish I still lived in San Marcos so my pup could still go to him. Again I love this place I wish I could it more stars.

This is the third vet I've used here in San Marcos, and I only wish I'd discovered them 5 years ago. The first vet I tried was okay at first. I assumed the prices were reasonable and tolerated the front desk (usually someone's daughter in high school) constantly putting me on hold and then ignoring me until 5 (when she hung up on me). Eventually, it grew to be too much of a hassle despite the convenience of it being right down the road. So I started using Four Paws. They were great, but crazy expensive and a bit too far out (practically in Wimberley). So then I started using this vet. Pros: · Advantage II is about $15 cheaper here than the previous 2 vets I used. · Extremely friendly staff. They'll remember you, too. · Can schedule multiple pets (including different species) in the same visit for the cost of just 1 office visit. · If you stop in for a quick checkup on a sick pet (like after finishing a round of medication), there's often not a visit fee. · Vaccines are reduced on Wednesdays and Fridays. · They don't push unneeded/unnecessary treatment/vaccines, especially on older animals. In fact, they'll recommend the opposite and give helpful advice, too. · They will try to accommodate walk-ins as best they can. Cons: · The office is a bit small, so the waiting room can get a bit crowded at times due to their popularity and that they will try to fit in walk-ins.

My family dog of eight years just moved with me to San Marcos in January so I haven't had the chance to get him a local vet yet. This morning he wouldn't let me put on his leash and was walking around in circles whining and favoring his back. I starred this place on Google maps while looking for a local groomer the other day as well and called them right away. Even though I wasn't a client, they allowed me to come in for an emergency visit. They took amazing care for him and gave him lots of attention. I'm so grateful that they took him in on such short notice and I only had to wait maybe 10 minutes before the vet saw him. This veterinarian and office is amazing. They took good care of us and didn't up the prices for an emergency visit or anything. Highly recommended.
