After a year of working with other vet businesses trying to get my seizure suffering dog taken care of, I walked into Springtown hesitant and with reserved expectations. From the first moment, we were greeted cheerfully, and the staff exuded competence and passion. They provided me with a detailed estimate of costs up front, asked for my permission before proceeding, and answered my questions patiently. The doc offered information about what to expect from treatment, a range of different options, and what his past experiences with similar situations was like. I walked out of the clinic completely confident in the team and absolutely overjoyed at the level of care and consideration my dog was given. It is such an amazing feeling to have found a crew that inspires confidence. I couldn't recommend this clinic highly enough.
Best vet in town! I have been to multiple veterinary hospitals in San Marcos, and Springtown is by far my favorite. The staff is extremely friendly, the doctors are knowledgeable, and the medical care is excellent. Also, the facility is the cleanest I have seen- it doesn't smell like animals! I highly recommend this hospital, and I will be taking all of my pets here from now on.
DISAPPOINTING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND STEEP PRICES. I am very disappointed in Springtown Vet, and am actually switching to King's Highway Animal Clinic, whose prices are MUCH MORE reasonable. I know all vets are expensive, however, the prices at Springtown are outrageous. DO NOT GO TO THIS VET unless you want to get ripped off. I just moved here from a high income neighborhood in Dallas, and the vets there were LESS EXPENSIVE. At Springtown, yes, the doctors and staff are nice, but they never called me when I dropped my dog off for bathing. I thought they were still working on him, and assumed THEY would call ME, but they never did. It really irks me that they charge a lot extra to apply medications while the dogs are boarded. No one ever did that in Dallas. My dog needs a CBC blood test every month, and King's Highway charges $25 while Springtown charges around $50 or $60! The exam fee is almost $80, while at King's it's only $42.70. I wanted to board my two cats over the holidays, and they wanted a deposit of $393, which was only HALF of the full price!!!! Just to watch two cats! My dog needs a dental cleaning, and they're charging almost $500, while King's Highway is charging almost $300 less! Springtown Vet simply does not have great customer service, and their prices are unbelievable. CHANGE VETS!
Best animal care anywhere! I have been bringing my pets to Springtown for over 24 years and have had nothing but excellent care. The staff is so friendly and caring and the doctors are amazing. They treat every animal as if it were their favorite! They have gone above and beyond in dealing with pet emergencies--even taking my sick bunny and kitty home with them for overnight care! I totally trust them to keep my dog and cats and bunnies healthy and happy!
I called around 7pm and talked with the after hours receptionist who got my info and my correct number then told me a doctor would call me back in 10 minutes. No one called me back at all. It's been two hours and I've already been to a different vet in Austin.
