We have been taking our cats to Forest Lake Animal Clinic for almost 20 years (not the same cats anymore...). We could not ask for better care. We refer to Dr. Roof as "the cat whisperer" ever since he got up on the exam table and held our scaredy cat and stroked her until she was so bliss-ed out she didn't even notice the blood sample he took from her neck. Dr.s Roof and Dokos have treated a variety of ailments, both trivial and serious; treating everything successfully except old age. They never tried to sell us extra things the cats didn't need at annual exams. All of the staff at Forest Lake are compassionate, capable, wonderful people. My brother and my co-worker could write this same review with respect to their dogs, so don't think this is just a cat place.

Hi dogs, This is Kotch the Chesapeake. I'm a dog just a lot like you more than you might think. I used to be buff; bullet proof with a capital B&P. I never did need no vets. Still I'd hide under my master's chair if I had to go to one to get my Heartgard pills. But not too long ago I got old. It got to where I could barely get up to go outside. I felt so bad it wasn't worth eatin' anything unless it was at least a sliced turkey sandwich. Then my master started makin' me swallow a bunch of mush pumped into my mouth with a turkey baster. Yuk! Finally he got smart enough to take me to see Dr. Dokos at Forest Lake Animal clinic. She checked me out with a few pokes and stabs. Sent me off with some pills. After a while my dog food even tasted OK if I was hungry. Then I went back to see her again and went to sleep on her table. When I woke up, that lump on my stomach was gone. After a few days at home, I remembered how much fun it is to play who's in charge of the tennis ball again. Hope I never have to go to another vet. But if I do, I hope they are like Dr. Dokos at Forest Lake. - Kotch
