A vet friend of ours recommended Dr. Crystal Taylor at CAH. We took our 2 dogs and cat in for their annual checkups with Dr. Travis Taylor, who was fantastic. He worked with us with to comfort our anxious dog (who ended up being his best friend by the time we left), he gave us the tour of the facility, and at the end, our bill was much cheaper than VCA, where we had been taking them. About 3 weeks later, our anxious dog ate a good portion of string from one of those rope toys and it got stuck. We worked with Dr. Coco, Dr. Wainwright, and Dr. Park and they were all fantastic, keeping me updated throughout the long days of waiting to see if surgery would be necessary and after surgery. The rest of the staff was wonderful as well. My dog, who has always been a nervous wreck everywhere we go, is no longer nervous at the vet's office. I was very pleased with how my family and I were treated by these wonderful people and couldn't have a higher opinion of their practice.

Very disappointing. We took our cat here who was sick and not feeling well, the vet ran a bunch of test and could not figure out what the problem was, and that was after we had spent $400. He said it was a heart related issue and referred us to CAVC in Vienna. SO we go there and spend another 800$ and they said there is nothing wrong with the cats heart. So overall I have spent over 1000$ for someone to tell me they don't know whats wrong with my cat. Then after I call CAH back and say that there is nothing wrong with my cats heart, they want me to bring him back in and admit him for overnight observation ,which is 1700$ no thanks. This place looks nice but they are a ragtag group who rips everyone off. I understand vets need to make money and a living, but if I spend over $1000 at least help my pet, and not say you are not sure whats wrong and we need to run another $1000 worth of test.

We brought our rescue dog to Centreville Animal Hospital, where we've been taking our other rescue puppy for years. They checked him out, were actually able to pull his records from his last owners, and treated him exceptionally well. In fact they'd kenneled him, and knew him well, greeting and loving on him. / / He had particularly bad teeth, and we found out that they had already told his previous owners that they needed to be taken care of. The vet told us exactly how much it would be for each extraction (if necessary) and laid out the costs of the cleaning. Originally the vet said she would probably have to do multiple extractions, but when she got in there, she didn't need to do any. If they were only interested in money, they would have pulled some of my dog's teeth instead of telling us they were fine and only needed a cleaning. / / Sure, they may ask for your credit card over the phone, but only after you've done a procedure and need to pay. They lay out the costs - both certain and anticipated - before any procedures, and get you to sign off on them. They even give the option of calling you with any additional charges that come up to be sure you approve them. It's a business like any other. It costs what it costs, but the vets & techs do care. / / They explained everything to us before the procedure, had us say goodbye, told us that they'd keep and monitor him for several hours after the procedure. And the vet called me immediately after finishing the procedure to explain everything to me and tell me how Molson was doing. / / Also, getting appointments is easy and quick. I just called and got a same-day appointment.

We have loved this vet for years. The dogs run to get inside...... not like them at all to love the vets, We have loved the top quality care they have had over the years but it was when Colby got sick we saw how great they really are. The staff was gentle and kind to both the dog and the humans. They all knew how scared we were, and even offered hugs while we waited for his testing. The follow up calls and advice from the doctors was amazing! I wish I had a Doctor as good as my Vet Colby is healthy and strong again all thanks to the entire staff

I have been going to Centreville Animal Hospital for the past 3 years. I have had mixed results over this time and I always gave these guys the benefit of the doubt. I have had some good experiences, but mostly poor. I have had some of their doctors tell me completely different things several times conflicting with each other. I have had them give me an estimate for services (best case - worst case). When I get the bill, it is $350 over the worst case. I have had them tell me that they pulled 7 teeth and charge me for 8 then say that they made a mistake and overcharged me. Then I look into my dog's mouth and there are 8 teeth missing which means they were right, but told me something different. It is like, "are you really paying attention to what you are doing in there". I really like my doctor there (Dr. Jones is great), but I feel the staff isn't exactly the most responsive to customer's needs. I feel that sometimes they are in it for just the money vs. helping people's pets is important to them, but they don't really realize how important the pets are to the owner. I am afraid that I will be looking elsewhere for vet services. I don't want to sound too negative because not all of the services were bad, but I just don't like the fact that I never know what to expect when I walk in there.
