Lansdowne Animal Hospital is outstanding!!! Every staff member there has become a friend to us and our pets. We truly consider them family and feel super blessed to have met them. Because it is a smaller practice, everyone knows what is going on with your pets .. it is not like a huge or medium sized vet practice where nobody knows you, your pet or current health challenges. The staff stays up to date on all the new information, techniques, etc. Our pets are treated with the most excellent care, advice, love ... We just cannot say enough about Dr. G and her staff. Dr. G, Rhona, Carol, Jeanne, Winona are just the best people. They really care and are really experts at what they do. We have 2 cats and one crazy high need puppy and they handle it all with grace.. even our millions of phone calls and long appointments (because we have tons of questions about our new puppy)! They always take time and always care and always have excellent advice. Dr. G is also wonderfully conservative price wise about identifying lower cost options or pursuing no options at all. She advises on what is best for your pets... period. She is the best!!
Dr. Godlewski is an outstanding resource for our pets. Her compassion, experience and her incredible intuition on what to look into first has served our family well. We previously used a large practice vet in Leesburg, but switching to Lansdowne Animal Hospital has been hugely beneficial for our pets health care, both well care visits and health care issue visits. I highly recommend Dr. Godlewski and her staff for their knowledge, caring and practical focus.
Dr. Godlewski and staff have been wonderful in taking care of our 10 1/2 year old Kirby over the past 10 months. When we moved to the area last March, Kirby had recently been diagnosed with heart and lung conditions and was on several medications. Dr Godlewski has been patient and so kind in treating Kirby, who at only 10 lbs can be mighty forceful when he doesn't want something done to him. Recently, Kirby's cardiologist (Dr. Tyrrell - CVCA) recommended nasal surgery to improve his breathing. Kirby needed his teeth cleaned as well and with his heart condition the anesthesia and surgery could have been dangerous. After some testing determined that Kirby was ready to proceed, Dr G. arranged for the surgeon (Dr. Lazar) to come to her hospital so that both procedures could be done at the same time so he would not have to undergo anesthesia twice. Everyone there was so gentle, patient and kind with Kirby (and me as well who was very anxious). Since the surgery, Kirby is doing very well and happily breathing a lot easier and enjoying his newly cleaned teeth.
We have been happy with Dr. Godlewski the past few years that we have been bringing our labs to see her. We switched from another vet in Leesburg, and were happy to find someone who shows so much compassion for our dogs. When we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our oldest dog, Dr. Brenda stopped her preparations for a festival at the Town Center on a Saturday morning to help us. She didn't put us off or tell us to go to an emergency pet care facility, which we very much appreciated because we were so comfortable with her and her staff.
The team at Lansdowne Animal Hospital was an absolute pleasure to work with. My husband and I had a 13 year old pug that was diagnosed with kidney failure. Dr. Godlewski and her team were very honest in their diagnosis and offered us a range of options so that we could give our dog a fighting chance. They were very understanding and accommodating by allowing us unannounced visits to see our dog while he was in their care. After significant treatment and discovering that euthanasia would be the best course of action, Dr. Godlewski was extremely compassionate, caring and generous. She made sure that no one was in her office to allow us private reflection time as we spent our last moments with him. Her professional manner yet humane compassion is unparalleled. Her practice exudes a warm, small-town feel, yet her expertise is truly impressive. I strongly recommend her services to anyone who wants the best care for their pet.
