UPDATE: I received a call from the new office manager at MVC after she saw my original review, below. She's the new sheriff in town and based on our conversation has been working very hard to rehabilitate the practice. She says the issue with vet turnover has been resolved, though there will always be some turnover with the techs as they are mostly students. Based on our conversation I believe she is trying very hard to fix the historical issues with the practice, and I hope she succeeds The fact that she called me is a positive sign that she cares about customer service. I'm upgrading my review to 'neutral' (three stars from two) based on her call. If MVC is convenient for you and you are in need of a vet give them a try and leave a review here on Google. If the new manager is successful she deserves to be rewarded for that with honest reviews. MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: We took our animals to Marshall Vet Clinic for years, but finally got frustrated and now go elsewhere. The biggest problem is staff turnover. It is rare for a vet or technician to even last a year, and the constant churn negatively affects the quality of care. I complained to the management about the turnover and asked for an explanation, but didn't really get one. High turnover in any business is usually because of low pay, the boss is a jerk, or the general work environment is poor. It is never a good sign. I don't know what afflicts this clinic, but something is wrong, and until they fix it I can't recommend them. I won't comment on any specific vets or techs, because by the time you read this they will all be different. Everyone that passed through seemed to genuinely care about our pets, but some were not terribly competent. They aren't bad people and they mean well, but that isn't what I pay for. If you use this clinic don't ever expect to receive a return call when promised, because you won't get it. You will have to call back to get test results, etc. Dropping the ball seems to be the only consistent feature of their service.
They brought in several new young vets and have gone way downhill. All about the money now, not the animals. Go elsewhere.
I am a long time client of Marshall Veterinary Clinic. They have taken care of my numerous dogs and cats. They alway do an excellent job and treat my animals as I would like to be treated. They always fit me into their busy schedule when I have an emergency. I highly recommend them!
Good vets, but pricey.
