We took our sick kitty in on a Saturday, they accomodated us quickly. Dr. Rosie called us on Sunday with all of the test results and compassionately discussed all of our options. Unfortunately, our kitty was very, very sick and we chose euthanasia, a very difficult choice. All of the staff was incredibly caring and compassionate. They went above and beyond all the while with respect. I appreciate everything they did during this sad and difficult time. This clinic is the best!
I went in to get some tapeworm medicine for my kitties blackula and tinkerbell and was unable to pay. doctor craig worked with me to allow for payments and now my kitties are tapeworm free. he also took time to go over tapeworms and different medicines. and also walked me through different kitty insurance plans. i cant recommend the cat doctor enough. they also have a super sweet grey kittie that loves to visit when you come in. and the receptionists are just as human as the rest of us and this makes all the difference:) A+++++
I just wanted to respond to a couple of the posts on here, and I do not know how to do so other than through a review. Dr. Joanna Guglielmino was indeed one of the finest and most caring veterinarians who ever worked at the cat doctor. In my opinion, all of the doctors that have worked here over the year have been very talented and very special. We also miss her. There is no way to replace someone like that when they retire or move on. But we will continue to try to do our best to be compassionate and caring as she always was. So, we share your regrets about not having her here. However, you may find another very caring veterinarian who has a similar passion and connection as there are many very good caring vets in our clinic and in other hospitals in the Puget Sound Area. We are fortunate to have so many excellent caring cat vets around our town, I would encourage you to continue to search and connect with one of us. ** We do not emphasize or push vaccination, in fact the exact opposite is true. Although we do follow the AAFP American Association of Feline Practicioners and AVMA vaccination guidelines - I find that more and more, we are viewing vaccination as an over-stated need. I certainly would find it intolerable for someone who worked here to push a vaccine on a client. I have never witnessed that. . ** We completely agree that it is often better to be less aggressive with drugs than to push to medicate everything and we always give clients more than one option, including referral to a board certified specialist in the field of the cat's medical concern. With the described eye problem, I cannot really comment, as I do not know the name of the client or the situation. It sounds as if after our one visit with this kitty, there was a concern, and that a treatment trial was attempted. Which, did not work or did nothing. After this, things were worse, and the second opinion was obtained, which determined that now there was no concern and thus no action was required. This is difficult to comprehend, but I will take your word for it, and we apologize for apparently making something out of nothing. I am sure that was no one's intention. If you could elaborate, we would be very interested to address our shortcomings specifically. For our practice, if an eye concern is more complicated, we are very quick to refer our patients to a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist. There are several amazing and talented eye specialists in this region. Anyone who comes to our hospital an feels that they were pressured by us to purchase services that they did not ask for, or did not need, please contact me so that I can make it right, because this is 100% contrary to my core values and beliefs. Sincerely, Dr. Craig Tebeau, clinic owner.
Well I've been through life and death with Dr. Craig and I can't say I would have wanted it to be with any other Vet or staff. I had a twenty-five year old cat who had to be out to sleep and the Dr. Craig, Dr. Nellie and the staff made a what was a traumatic situation bearable. I've taken two cats with life threatening conditions and a total of four cats to The Cat Doctor in the last two years. I swear by professionalism, knowledge and care that The Cat Doctor brings to each and every member of my furry family. Unless I move out of the state it will always remain that way. I love these people!
Despite what was turned out to be ultimately bad news for my cat CC (who, it turns out, is 17 years old), I'm impressed with this facility, and all the doctors and technicians who staff it. I have a lot of experience with veterinarians (having been an owner and foster-owner of many, many animals over the years), and I can only recall one other place where I felt as confident as I've come to feel about the Cat Doctor and the staff.
