We took our cat in because of a tail injury. Surgery was needed. Besides the unexpected high cost to fix it, the staff was friendly and helpful. But we expected our cat to have surgery in the afternoon.. I had to call 3 times for updates until around 11 PM, and the surgery was still not performed. They did call me after midnight to tell the surgery went as expected. I just didn't like that it took so long for the surgery to be performed and that they were not proactive to keep me updated.
