Pilchuck Veterinary hospital has always been my family's go to place. From the our pompom and cocker spaniel to our shepherd mixes, blue heelers, and now my new corgi puppy. We've taken our cats, and previously our horses here. Absolutely love them there. My blue heeler puppy a few years back got parvo and we had him treated there. They provided the best service I've ever had, and although the price is a little high, you get exactly what you pay for. They ensure that your animals small or large are treated with the best care possible. I definitely have a lot of respect for them.

HORRIBLE TREATMENT! Too bad there is not a choice for zero stars. We took our puppy to Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital as he was lethargic and would not eat or drink. We were advised to have our puppy spend the night at the clinic for observation. When we picked up up our puppy the next day we were told they could not figure out what was wrong with him and that he barked too much in the kennel. To mitigate the barking, they sedated him in his kennel and when that did not work they sprayed him with water! That is the level of compassion for animals $1,100 buys you at this facility. Pilchuck has yet to get back to me as they would torment a scared, little puppy with a water bottle.

A couple months ago, my friends and I found a cat in an intersection that had just been hit in the left side of her head by a car. Other cars were swerving around her, but we stopped and picked her up, bleeding from her face and jaw. We took her to Pilchuck and said we wanted her to be saved. They stabilized her and saved her life, and more importantly, understood that she needed a surgical specialist that they didn't have on site and referred us to Seattle Veterinary Specialists for the facial surgery. Knowing when to not risk it is very important. They saved Serenity's life and she's now a happy cat (albeit expensive!) and has the rest of her life ahead of her, thanks in large part to the rapid care from Pilchuck. After I paid the up-front costs for the stabilization and emergency services, it turned out she didn't need as much oxygen and hospitalization as originally thought, and they gave me an immediate refund back to my credit card for the stuff she didn't actually need. I would probably not have known the difference - they could have kept that money and I wouldn't be any the wiser. We're talking about an amount near $1,000, too, this wasn't just a $20 difference. When my GF's dog had what looked to be a seizure, they were likewise very responsive in stabilizing and caring for her. Would definitely recommend them for emergency services, and they've always been very friendly.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Joe, Dr. Stephanie Meyer, and Dr. Deborah Carlson, and the staff over there, have been wonderful to me and my dog Lily. compassionate, caring, kind, even prompt and accomodating.

No amount of professionalism is worth being charged 10x the price of my normal vet. Took my dog to my normal vet last Monday(9/15/14) for an xray and whelping medication, grand total $140. Took her to Pilchuck vet hospital last night(9/19/14) where she received one xray and 3 shots of oxytocin(the same meds my usual vet gave us, same amount even). Then we sat in a room and waited, grand total bill $1,100. The "quote" they told us, that they refused to give us a written copy of, was $400. We will never be returning to this vet.
