We would NOT recommend Golden Rule K9. After 3 weeks, we got our dog back and the first night we walked him, he was pulling as much as ever on his leash. He still jumped up on us and wouldn’t drop things he had in his mouth. He still chewed things up. For the amount of money we paid, we would’ve thought his behaviors would be more curbed. And after our concerns were raised a couple days after getting our dog back, it seemed to us like Golden Rule was blaming us for the dog’s untrained behavior. That was how WE took the comments. It was actually amazing how defensive Golden Rule seemed to get. When we dropped our dog off, he was taken to a house in a nice neighborhood with a big yard. They moved him to a slightly worse neighborhood with a much smaller yard. The problem was he’s a rather large dog that needs space, and also they didn’t tell us they moved him until the night before we were to pick him up. They told us our dog has behavioral issues, but then they gave him to a trainer who hasn’t been doing it long. They did offer to take him back to train him further, but we decided against it given the problems that arose when we brought up our dissatisfaction.
