Sorry I don't share your feelings ladies. With a vet which insists on servicing your pet out of your site to me that is a little bit suspicious. I use to come to this place and was lied to about many things and as a result my pet is no longer with me. No question her condition could have been helped if it weren't for careless behavior by a couple veterinarians here. They are also quick to euthanize. Another interesting detail the same exact cocktail of drugs was going to be used on a prisoner nearly a year ago in another state for an execution but a judge decided to suspend it. The judge ruled it was unethical and too brute to be used on a human. So if its too brute for a human how is it some veterinarians are using it on animals for euthanasia!? Maybe that is why the veterinarian insists on a tech holding the pet while they inject it. Nothing like forcing a massive heart attack with all kinds of pain shooting in the head and spine. And don't give me this crap about how it's necessary because of neurological response because my pet looked directly at me with his tail fluffed up and squealed loudly for help. It was very much coherent and passed with eyes open. Think about it, you give this pet years of love and care and how does it leave this world? In complete and total horror with excruciating pain. Oh sure it was fast but no question it was awful. I personally would rather have a loved one depart this world in my loving arms than this kind of sick and twisted setup. Before it was performed I changed my mind and told the vet I didn't want to do this because I had gut feeling it was wrong. Vet looks at me upset and says sarcastically WHY? I felt pressured and didn't know what to say and they proceeded forward. Immediately when I saw how hard the tech was holding my pet I began to suspect something. And no way was it peaceful like they tell you that is a big lie. I begged these people to relax him before even considering such a procedure and they acted like such a drug doesn't exist. What a crock of bs. After reading and teaching myself about the field I now know I was lied to about many things. To top it all off the kind and apparently loving vet after procedure is performed insists on taking your beloved pet behind the scenes to prepare it for you (out of your site), nothing fishy there. Oh and lastly they stiff you with a bill for the torture they just caused you and your pet. Yes indeed it is a sick little world we live in. There are so many details some don't share. Don't ever blindly trust anyone! Some veterinarians should remember that body serves as a piece of evidence. If you ever want to know the truth pay a scientist to perform an forensic autopsy. Lastly Wisconsin has one of the worst rates of holding licensed personnel accountable for bad or unethical behavior. The system is definitely on their side and you have little recourse. If the board finds them responsible they practically do nothing and the fine is even more ridiculous.
