We've been going to CARE for several years for everything from regular check-ups to surgeries. Overall, it is the best veterinarian clinic I've been to both in the area and out. I definitely trust most of the staff here compared to other clinics we've been to. Almost all of the front staff are friendly and courteous and the ones who were not in the past no longer work there. The vet techs are always very caring with my pets and answer any questions I have. Yes, we have one main vet here, but have seen almost every vet here. You can request to see the same vet every time, but if you want to get in sooner then you can see whatever vet is available. I do have a preference for a vet, but again, have not had a problem with the others when we see them. I will say that the cleanliness of the clinic has declined since we started going here many years ago. They used to vacuum and sanitize every room after each pet left before the next came. Without fail now, every time I take my dogs into a room, there is pet hair all over and it is usually cat hair, which we are allergic to at my house. The lobby floor also used to be clean and mostly free of balls of pet hair, not so much anymore though. I wouldn't say the clinic is dirty, but it is not as clean as it used to be mostly because I think they stopped vacuuming during business hours and maybe only do it in the evening. Maybe they think there isn't much of a change, but I absolutely can tell a difference and note the lack of cleanliness each time I'm there. As far as prices go, I do spend a lot of money and many things we have done are very costly here. But, I can't say whether their prices are higher than the next clinic. They do give you an estimate before any procedure they do and I have to say the actual total usually comes out to be on the high side of the estimate. And also, you have to pay for follow-up visits or post-op appointments which I think is not right with the amount of money people pay for the actual procedures. That being said, I am obviously willing to pay the prices for the care that my animals receive here. Bottom Line: There are a few vets here that are really great and that I really trust with my pets. Services here can be costly, but I don't know if they are any less expensive elsewhere. I do wish they would be more attentive to the cleanliness of the clinic like they used to. And probably the best thing about this clinic is that there are some front desk ladies and some vet techs who are so nice and pleasant and always make you feel comfortable taking your pet there.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Took my dog to them and was told he had an inoperable lung tumor. Vet stated I didn't need to make a decision that day to "take him home and love him up for a couple weeks". He also told me he was on call all weekend and I should page him if anything happened over the weekend. That same night my dog was in distress and having a hard time breathing. I paged the doctor several times with no response. I rushed him to the ER Clinic in Racine - he died on the way there. Will never forgive them for making one of the worst nights of my life harder than it had to be.

They will recommend way more than is necessary just to collect an extra buck. Watch out.

We love Care Animal Hospital! We've been taking out two cats -- who have chronic health problems and need regular meds and prescription food -- to Care for years. They always do their best to get us in as soon as possible, and all of their vets are top-notch. The front desk staff is very cheerful and helpful. Even the vet techs are great. And they don't charge us for checkups when we return to have our cats evaluated after going through a new treatment. I would highly recommend Care Animal Hospital to anyone!

I personally love this vet!!! Have been taking all of my animals there for the past 8 years. They are always very nice, knowledgeable, and concerned about the welfare of the animal. When our min-pin died a 2 months ago, they even sent us a card with a very nice poem saying they were sorry, and we didn't even take him there since it was the middle of the night when the problems occured.
