The staff and doctor were exceedingly helpful and wonderfully nice. They have a lovely new office at the corner of Fair Oaks & Atwood now. I can't wait to see them again when my cat needs to get his new shots in a few more months. While I was in the office they even helped to track down a doctor who was available to do something for another patient there and get the dog in that day. They are very helpful people who care about your fuzzy companion. I highly recommend this place!
We got our dog Nathan as a rescue dog and he consistently had anal gland problems that we used antibiotics to treat. They seamed to do the trick until he had a bad flare up and after three rounds of different antibiotics with absolutely no results I decided to try a more holistic approach. I had acupuncture and herbs myself for years but never considered it for a dog. I called Dr. Carrie and set up an appointment. She gave us some cooling herbs and some acupuncture on our first visit. It made a huge difference and our 20 pound Shie Tzu mix dog was on the mend. Took him back in a couple weeks later for another evaluation and acupuncture and he's almost back to perfect. The poor thing. He was licking his butt so much and you could tell it hurt because he'd jump to itch or lick his butt. Dr. Carrie gave me a simple explanation and by golly she was right on. I know the lingo can be confusing in holistic healthcare. Balancing the body doesn't mean much because it's vague, but you'd be surprised what Dr. Carrie will be able to tell you about your dog. The solutions can be simple and inexpensive especially compared to traditional care, getting anal glands expressed every other week, regular antibiotics which do little to nothing, etc. Call her and ask if she can help. That's what I did and it was a great decision. By the way, my dog actually likes the acupuncture. It doesn't hurt and well anyway, you get the picture.
Today I had my black lab Ellie put to sleep in my home after being a wonderful pet for over 16 years. She could no longer walk and had stopped eating and drinking. I contacted Full Circle In-Home Pet Hospice and Euthanasia and arranged for Dr. Carrie Donahue to come and put Ellie to rest. Dr. Donahue was extremely kind, caring, sensitive, and understanding. This experience was infinitely better than our experience having our dog Sammy put to sleep at the vet in Monona last year. I highly recommend Dr. Donahue.
