When I moved to Madison I did some research into vets in town. Lakeview had great reviews, so I took my boy Basie to see them. After I'd been in town a few years I moved and started taking Basie to a vet closer to home. Late last year I learned that Basie had developed cancer. We fought it for as long as we could, but a few weeks ago we realized that the time had come to think about euthanasia. With Basie steadily in decline my boyfriend and I made the incredibly hard choice to put him to sleep. When I went in to schedule the appointment with Basie's other vet they were utterly callous to me. It was clear that they didn't care that Basie was about to die even though they had been the team that (I thought) was fighting for his life alongside me. They were not only completely unsympathetic, they also tried to convince me to schedule the euthanasia for another day that was more convenient for them. I realized that I could not and would not let these people take the last step in Basie's life with me. In a panic, I called Lakeview. I explained the situation and they were incredibly gracious and helpful. They made it clear that they were there to support Basie and I even though they hadn't seen us in a few years. They were able to fit us in on the day that we had chosen for Basie's visit and they did their best to make us feel comfortable despite the awful circumstances. Saying goodbye to Basie was easily the hardest thing I've ever had to do. But, the folks at Lakeview did their best to take care of us; and, it was a comfort to know that when we did finally say goodbye to Basie he was surrounded by people who really cared.

Last week we learned that our beloved Westie has developed Addison's Disease. It was a tremendous blow to learn this and we were initially devastated. The reassurance provided to us by veterinarian Bridget Baker, however, was instrumental in putting things into perspective. Not only did Bridget arrange for additional testing to be carried out in a timely manner, she clearly explained exactly what our dog's diagnosis would mean in terms of extra care, expense, and life expectancy. We are grateful for the excellent care and tremendous compassion Bridget and the other veterinarians at Lakeview Veterinary Clinic have provided to our pets over the last ten years. In addition to our dog, we also bring our cat to Lakeview and the staff there could not be more wonderful with her. We are very appreciative of the love, attention, affection, and expertise that our pets have received from Lakeview. Thank You!

I've been to many area clinics in the area over the last 20 years and I think Lakeview is the best. The staff all seems to be huge animal lovers and we were impressed with their compassion and knowledge. They also respected our decisions as owners and did not try to suggest unwarranted exams or procedures. I cannot express our heartfelt thanks enough; such amazingly good people!

I adore Lakeview Vet Clinic! I recently began taking my old man cat to them, and they have been so good with him. From the vets to the techs, everyone is so sweet and caring towards my kitty I can't imagine ever thinking of taking him anywhere else for care. They're great about returning messages that have been left, and you can tell that everyone there genuinely loves and cares about all the pets that come through there as well as the pet owners. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants the best care for their animal friends!
