I love this clinic. It isn't fancy but the care given to my pets by the doctors, techs and receptionist is very loving. They don't try to sell you on a bunch of extras. My old vet always talked me into all kinds of tests to "rule out" all kinds of horrible possibilities. Recently when my cat died they gave a donation to an animal charity in his name. I thought that was so thoughtful!

They are very upfront with costs before hand so that you are not surprised with the bill at the end. I feel that they offer great care but don't try to load you up on extras.

I recently took my cat to Madison Cat Clinic for vomiting. The staff was wonderful and Dr. Noeldner treated my cat as if he was her own. She offered some diagnostic tests and printed out a estimate for me that way I was able to choose what I could afford and what had to wait awhile. I ended up having a ultrasound which didn't show alot but at least with that test I had peace of mind that he didn't have a blockage or something more serious. We will definately be returning there in the future. Plus my cat got a toy at the end of his visit. By the way kitty is doing fine now. Karla

TERRIBLE!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAT HERE! they do not help!! I was giving my cat similar at home treatments, and she gave us some of the SAME stuff! obviously did not work out. went back and they tried to charge me another office visit!! I agree with "Mel" 100% she must be short on money! or just not care! (maybe both) because both times my bill took me by surprise.! honestly she should have fixed it the first time, took my cat to another vet and they got it on their first time! instead of blaming me saying i wasn't doing it right! DO NOT GO HERE!!! EVER!!!

I would have to say that Mel's review is terribly inaccurate. I used to work at Madison Cat Clinic and it is a wonderful place to take your cats. Dr. Noeldner and her existing staff absolutely love cats and go out of their way to make them comfortable. She is more knowledgeable about cats than your average veterinarian because she specializes in them. Believe me, Dr. Noeldner has some "colorful" clients and she's been nothing more than friendly, honest, and respectful. I'd also like to say that when a veterinarian offers a "steep" diagnostic set of tests, she is only offering the gold standard of care. Would you want a vet that only offers the bare minimum? Also, any good veterinarian will give full disclosure, so if a value from a test falls within normal limits but is on the high or low end, she will tell you that it could indicate early disease. If she didn't, she wouldn't be being entirely honest about your pet's condition. One more thing: I've seen cats nails grow into their paws-it is very painful for them! And many owners say they didn't notice the nails or that it is too difficult for them to clip themselves. If the pets' nails needed trimming, offering to do it for a (very small) fee is only in the best interest of the pet. Like I said, I no longer work here, but I still plan to take my cats here. I know how it is for clients and behind the scenes, so if I still trust them, so can you.
