Dr. Fred and Staff have been more than accommodating on a number of visits. Prices are very reasonable. I have been to 3 other local vets before making Dr. Fred my primary. My dog loves going to see his friendly staff and I recommend him to all of my pet-owning friends!

I just moved to town and had a cat with an infected anal gland. I called them just as they were closing and they were so kind to extend their hours on a Saturday afternoon so I could get the cat in. I so appreciated it! From the look at the other reviews, it looks like I lucked out and found a great vet right away! My cat is usually petrified at the vet, but they handled her well and she came out without escalating into a fury, despite undergoing very uncomfortable prodding.

Everyone at the clinic did a fantastic job caring for my lil Tweak. They gave him amazing care and made him comfortable during his last days. Thank you

Dr N and his staff are amazing! They go way above and beyond to get to make you and your pet feel comfortable. The did a no notice house call when we put down our precious lab this year. We have been around to several other vets and finally feel at home. Thank you Sandhill! & Jen for referring us!

I have been taking my pets to Dr. Nothnagel for over 20 years, the care he offers is excellent! He is very pragmatic, offers sensible care options and affordable pricing in comparison to other clinics. I once called to compare the cost of some tests between his clinic and a west side clinic in Madison and his rates were more reasonable. So I asked his staff person why he charged less for these tests and they replied "he wants to be sure people give their pets the care they need." I was so happy to hear that response that I decided right then I would always drive across town to support his business. The Sandhill staff is always friendly, helpful and accommodating as they patiently take time to answer my many questions. Dr. Nothnagel has cared for four of our dogs and our cat over the years. Some surgeries have been required and I have always felt very comfortable with our pets in his care. Many thanks to the Doc and his staff for the fabulous care they have given our beloved pets over the years.
