Finding a new vet. We had our dog neutered there on a wednesday. Over the weekend it started to look irritated and infected. Called first thing monday morning to get it looked at and they would not make time to fit us in. Told me that swelling was normal. Yeah, well swelling plus discharge and a green tinge that is growing in size is not, and we will find a vet that will make time for an emergency.

I love them. They actually care, they know what they are doing and they very genuine, nice people. Thank you for your care to my babies!

Dr. Kohn was extremely rude. I was simply asking some questions about the vaccines and he basically told me to shut up because I did not know what I was talking about. I cannot elaborate more on how rude he was- if you want to be treated with decency do NOT go here.

I've been in Madison for about a year now and I can definitely say the best vet I've ever been to is The Petinary. The staff is very cheerful (including the veterinarian) and they always greet you every time you step into the clinic. The charges in my opinion are very reasonable and they did not over charge. I felt very confident that we were receiving good advice in how to care for loved one and left with a good feeling that we had found a place that could handle our needs over time. The large windows make a huge difference because you get all the sun light in and it just feels very homey. I've always felt welcome there, and the wait generally isn't long. I would definitely recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone in Madison.

Dr. Mike isn't an outgoing person, but he's certainly not rude; I would characterize him as gruff. He's skilled and knowledgeable about cats and always willing to explain things carefully so that we know what to look out for when our cats are sick and when to follow up. The staff has always been super friendly and helpful as well. I've never waited more than 5 minutes for my appointment and the one time I've needed an urgent appointment, I was able to get one the same day -- within 2 hours in fact. I can't say much about how the prices compare because I haven't been anywhere else for 5 years. A visit tends to run $30 dollars or so (without tests).
