had a dog go into grace with injury from an animal attack, after an extensive check up we were told it would take a 1200 - 1600 surgery to fix the problem, on top of the over 400 dollars charged for administering pain medicine and preop testing, to a dog that had an infection, without giving him antibiotics to start working on the infection first. "When we were told the price for surgery and what they wanted to do to him, basicly split him open and irrigate his chest cavity, we opted for a second opinion. When I picked my dog up from Grace they told me he would most likely not make it fi we did not get him immediate attention, and if we did not want to pay for surgery, he should be put to sleep. The prescription they sent him home with was not compatible with the medicine given during his stay at the vet, causing him to get very sick, exhibiting the exact symptons they warned us about. After obtaining a second opinion it was brought to our attention by another vet the two medicines he was on were not compatible, this vet stated they have had several customers with similar problems coming from Grace. It has now been two weeks and my "death bed dog" that should be put to sleep out of his misery is perfectly fine, in fact he took a five mile hike at coopers rock state park three days post visit at Grace. If you care about your animals I would not recommend Grace, they may end up being put through more pain than they are currently in.
Grace Animal Hospital (Dr. Tom & Dr. Farrah) and their staff are AMAZING. They treat our family and our pets with the most compassion, love, care, and concern than any vet I've ever been to. They have a beautiful, easy accessible, and super clean facility. They take their time with each patient and have the most state of the art equipment to use on your pet (if needed). You will not be disappointed if you chose to take your precious pet to them.
Dr. Austin and his staff at Grace have been absolutely wonderful! After having an aweful experiences with a vet out west, we were on guard trying to find a new vet when we moved to Clarksburg, WV. I feel like they've gone above and beyond to give our cat the best care and to work within our budget. Dr. Austin gives you all the information you need to make an informed decision. He will be our vet for as long as we live here.
I would recommend anyone take their pets to Grace Animal Hospital. I couldn't find a vet to see my rabbit, and when I called, they said they would. They were so kind and wonderful!! Surgery wasn't an option for us, and so Dr. Austin took the time to make sure she could do what she could without surgery. They truly understand that your pet is not just a pet, but a member of your family. They even took time to call us after the visit several times just to check on her!
