I love Dr. Smith. She is wonderful with both of my dogs. My dogs never come in nervous. They see Doctor Smith and run to her. I'd recommend Dr. Smith to anyone.
I'm disappointed that my friend would go to your hospital for a simple problem with his dog and instead of trying to help him, you tried to force him to put it down on the spot because its a pitbull and charge him an extra $100 even though you did nothing to try and fix the problem. Then you actually called animal services on him for no reason and they show up at 1am to try to forcefully put down his dog for no reason because of you??? He had a 3 year child in the house too, how would you appreciate someone banging on your door at 1am to try and murder your pet for no reason and then try to explain it to a child? If this is really a race issue because he's black, you shouldn't even have a business. Ridiculous
DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS PLACE! I took my dog to the Spring Mills Veterinary Hospital to see what I need to do to get her fixed. She's been scratching at it her ear for almost a week, and it look like she had blood in her eye. Well because I was Black and owned a Pitbull. The Vet told me she think's it would be best for me to have my dog put down. (Today) Because she really didn't seem to know what going on with my dog. She also threaten to call the animal control if I didn't. (Another fee I would have had to pay) (Spring Mills Never again). As i was leaving Spring Mills Veterinary Hospital she gave me some information on other 24 hour animal hospitals. Because she didn't know what was going on with my dog. So. at 12:07am I received a call from a unknown number. (Did Not Answer) At 1:30am - 2am Animal Control is Banging on my Glass door with 2 cops also trying to take my dog. Who calls 12:07am and not leave a voice message. When I return the call I get sent to voice mail telling me the hours of operations. Are you kidding me. I will be taking legal action against you and your business. Our pets are like kids. You of all people should know that. Trying to force some one to put their dog down on the spot. The real crazy thing is I had a 3yr old kid with me. Try explaining that to them. DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS PLACE! I ended up taking my dog to another vet who could explain everything to me.
I have been taking my pets to Spring Mills for over 5yrs. Dr. Smith & her staff are excellent with how they handle my dogs. I would 100% refer anybody there who is looking for an animal care facility. They are very informative & make sure that you fully understand everything regarding your pets health & care. The staff is very friendly including Dr. Smith & treat your pet as if it they were their own.
I think it is Disgusting that you would not diagnose my friends Pit Bull because of Racial Profiling but offered to quickly euthanize it over an eye issue. You insisted if he wasn't willing to put it to sleep, you would call Animal Control and in fact between 12 and 2 am., Animal Control and the Police showed up at his door. Really? But guess what, you were in the wrong, not him because they didn't feel the need to take his dog. You are in the wrong business with that type of attitude.
